Dragon's Dogma 2

The day Dragon's Dogma 2 is announced will be a glorious day indeed. Long time readers will know that we're big fans of Capcom's role-playing property, and so we're always keeping an eye out for any news on a potential sequel to the PS3 (and PS4 remastered) Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen.

But Capcom's never committed to any kind of confirmation, instead opting for vague statements whenever the topic is brought up. Our latest update on the matter comes from Hideaki Itsuno, one of the masterminds behind Devil May Cry, and, of course, Dragon's Dogma.

Speaking to IGN, Itsuno doesn't give anything away, but he doesn't outright reject the idea of a Dragon's Dogma 2. "We consider Dragon's Dogma to be an important franchise... But there's nothing more I can say right now," Itsuno says. The full interview paints a clear picture, too: Itsuno is obviously very passionate about the property, and it sounds as though he'd love to do more with it.

On top of that, we don't really know what Itsuno is working on right now. Devil May Cry 5 is out and according to Capcom, it ain't getting any DLC -- so for all we know, Itsuno could well be assigned to a new, unannounced project. Fingers crossed, eh?
