A MediEvil PS4 Demo Briefly Appeared on the Japanese PlayStation Store

State of Play is now just hours away, and we're starting to see some teases and leaks trickling through. The latest one concerns the MediEvil PlayStation 4 remake, which is due for release in about a month's time. A demo of the game was recently released on the Japanese PlayStation Store -- that's according to some eagle eyed users on Reddit and ResetEra. Unfortunately, following the link to the product page now draws a blank. It seems the demo has been pulled from the Store -- perhaps it was just a little early?

Still, that didn't stop a few people from downloading and playing it. Those who did are saying it consists of Sir Dan's crypt and the graveyard level that follows, which sounds like the playable demo present at Tokyo Game Show. This all leads us to believe that a demo for MediEvil will be announced and then made available during tonight's State of Play presentation.

Obviously this hasn't been confirmed, but the timing fits too perfectly. What do you think of this? Will a MediEvil demo be shadow dropped during State of Play? Get spooky in the comments below.

Great detective work, guys. Looks like a possible leak for the State of Play. A Medievil demo could definitely garner more attention and interest for the game.

Personally I’ll just wait for its release; it’s not a very long game as is.

Cool will definitely give it a go. I remember I played a crap ton of the original games demo on one of the psx demo discs lol

Sweet, just like the old days. I got my intro to MediEvil from a PS1 demo disc, so I'm down for a demo if it drops on the PS Store after this evenings State of Play.
