The release date for fantasy platformer sequel Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince has been announced. Publisher Modus Games has revealed the game will hit PlayStation 4 on 8th October 2019. Check out the trailer above to see some brand new gameplay footage.
Trine 4 has freshly designed combat, new physics-based puzzles to conquer, and for the first time, four-player co-op. It looks like it should be pretty good fun -- and gorgeous to boot. The series made a divisive diversion with the third instalment, but this is looking like a return to form.

Oh so they’re back to 2D now?
The “divisive diversion” in Trine 3 was their inability to finish the game, not their decision to go 3-D.
Is it only multiplayer?
@IanDavid Exactly.
Day one on this, I like trine 1 and 2. I'm glad they're making trine 2D again
The other games were fantastic. This looks amazing as well.
