If there was any doubt about a new TimeSplitters game being in the works, let them be put to rest. Last year, Koch Media, itself owned by THQ Nordic, acquired the IP for the beloved shooter franchise. At the time, it was pretty strongly implied that a new game would be coming sooner or later.
Now, in THQ Nordic's latest financial report, it's been announced that Steve Ellis has joined the company. Ellis is one of the creators of TimeSplitters, and he's joined the publisher in order to "help plot the future course for this franchise".
That's about all we have to go on, but it more or less confirms a new TimeSplitters game is in development. It may be a while before we see it - we imagine it's a PS5 game at this point - but it's exciting nonetheless.

I want a sequel and a HD collection. Make it happen and you have my money
Locked, cocked and ready to roll.
It's no doubt they will release a HD Collection at some point because THQ Nordic do that to recoup money in the IP purchase and other games. Darksiders 3 didn't do as amazing at the previous 2 games and TimeSplitters collection has been demanded since the PS3 hopefully it will come and be multi platform for everyone to enjoy even Switch users because the franchise's deserves every platform to play this masterpiece of a franchise
These were great, 4 player co op would be awesome. Lotta fun multi player matches full my memories. Sony...wink wink i.p. purchase lol
Eat my laser.... EAT IT!
@Rhaoulos
A HD remake would be good.
Crossing my fingers for an HD Remake Collection, since I never played the originals.
