The staying power of games like Minecraft and Grand Theft Auto V is incredibly impressive. These two juggernauts are always among the most popular games on PlayStation Store, but for the month of July, they made the most of a quiet release schedule. In North America, the blocky craft-em-up takes the top spot, while Rockstar's immeasurably successful open world title rules the roost in Europe. What's more, they each take second place in the opposing region.
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled just about managed a podium finish in Europe, but was knocked down a few more pegs across the Atlantic. July's new releases are nowhere to be seen; instead, the PS Store charts are filled with games discounted in the massive summer sales. Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 is perhaps the biggest success in that regard, re-entering the charts at number 10 in Europe and number three in the US.
There are no real surprises when it comes to PlayStation VR. Beat Saber is once again the block-slashing champion in North America, while Blood & Truth takes the cake in the Old World.
You can view the full charts for Europe and the US through the respective links. What games did you download in July? Tell us in the comments below.

The power of Pewdiepie
2011 - Minecraft
2013 - Grand Theft Auto V
And here we are closing in on 2020.
Gosh dang man, itβs been long enough. We need to let both of them fall off the sales charts.
Also, kinda funny the most family friendly and most unfriendly two games are competing.
Yea, agree with you, Minecraft is most family unfriendly game - takes kids from their parents and vice versa π
Ha screw PewDiePie.
H2o delirious has started playing. And actually makes it look like fun. Altho playing a modded version.
I hate them both. π
