Ubisoft always manages to put on a good show when it's time to put up or shut up, but E3 2019 was a little different. After the teaser dropped last week, we finally got our first proper look at Watch Dogs Legion, while service-based titles such as Rainbow Six: Siege and The Division 2 both detailed upcoming DLC. Ghost Recon: Breakpoint put in a mediocre showing, and game announcements weren't too strong either. Rainbow Six: Quarantine and Gods & Monsters left us wanting to know more.
How do you feel about Ubisoft's E3 2019 press conference, though? Did you feel the hype when those new game reveals rolled around, or were you bored by the focus on titles already on the market? Detail your Year 1 Pass in the comments below.

No
Not gonna lie... No... word up son and to your momma
no.
it started great with a little concert and WD but than just failed.
a tv show and a movie reveal realy?
no release date for the discovery tour either, but ofcourse the story creator did...
oh and that last game got a release date but only a very short teaser? how does that even make sense?
2 out of 10 tnx to the concert and WD.
was the previous pre next gen e3 this bad aswell?
I was honestly quite unsure about Just Dance 2020 going in, but after that I really can’t wait.
I thought watchdogs was amazing but everything else just fell flat
I'll admit, it was a bit cringey and a bit crap.
Watchdogs geezer pal edition looked good though.
Holy hell roll on Tuesday. Again, it's like if the consoles are transitioning, no one should bother.
"very poor" is way too high praise for it.
I don't think I've seen one good e3 presentation this year thus far. Wd Does look good though, I really love the series so that got me excited
I didn’t think it was bad, just a lot of what we expected.
@kyleforrester87 Are you pre-ordering the Nintendo Wii version Kyle?
also way to many splinter cell teases without a reveal.
surely they must be working on it as a next gen game?
I took a nap and missed it. I don't recall having any dreams but my peaceful sleep sounds like it was more exciting than this was.
Is Ubisoft the company responible for Beyond Good & Evil 2? Isn't that supposed to be a thing now?
@rjejr yes they are and no it did not even get a mention.
"Hi, we're Ubisoft, and we've got nothing to show"
@ShogunRok I thought that.... kinda stole Sony’s gimmick for e3.... I guess at least Sony had good grace to not waste our time. E3 has been disappointing so far.... we needed something big on ANY format...
@LiamCroft he was the Panda on stage! Hes just being shy
@jdv95 Thanks. I actually just checked Google to see if maybe it already released and I missed it. Having Yves come out at the end to promote anything other than BG&E2 seems wrong to me.
They should have had BlackPink live on stage. I don't know any of their songs but I'd recognize them.
@ShogunRok as you guys said earlier, Sony's decision increasingly makes more sense. Where is the gameplay!! Its cg cutscene after cg cutscene
@LiamCroft careful with that port begging!
i think it's just best for studio's to skip e3 the year before next gen starts.
it only costs them money and the end result leaves a bad taste.
save that money and go all out the year after with next gen games.
I get the feeling a lot of companies are saving their best ideas for Next Gen. At least the western ones.
Thank Miyamoto for the Switch.
Was there enough Tom Clancy?
One of the worst I've seen. It was so boring.
also subscription services... is this what next gen reveals are going to be like? if so count me out.
It was alright, Watch Dogs 3 looks great
@rjejr A nap was a better use of your time 😜
You know it is bad, when they gave something for free - and for the life of me I cant remember what it was.
I found it funny when they said to sign up for a mobile game. Bonkers.
I am worried about next gen. Honestly if all the big games are GaaS we are going to have this for years, having to cherry pick decent indie games from the mountain of crap for our full game kicks. The big Single Player games are becoming fewer and further between (looking at E3) and I just don't see how this is sustainable as the hobby I grew up with and is as big a part of me as Dairylea dunkers. I want lots of games - not the same 4 or 5 every year with an occasional cameo from a new face.
Disappointing - 3/10 only boosted by Watch Dogs 3 and Roller Champions (the latter will be GaaS powered for sure).
@themcnoisy tbh it has not been a bad generation for SP games though.
hoping next gen will continue with the support.
There's not even one decent conference this year. The only thing I enjoyed seeing was Devolver's one and just because it's crazy
@Agramonte Free mobile game? Thank you card stationary? Sammy wrote that in the live feed info but I have no idea what it means.
If Nintnedo doesn't win E3, man I can't imagine how bad it would have to be, like 38 minutes of Super Mario Maker 2 and they're raising the price of NO.
This was the one conference I was looking forward to and came away feeling like I'd totally wasted my time.
I thought the Assassins Creed Orchestra at the beginning was leading up to a big reveal of the next one in the franchise..
Watchdogs 3 was pretty cool but the rest was...pants.
Watch Dogs Legion looks pretty good. Aside from that, it was another weak showing. This E3 has been quite disappointing, all told.
@rjejr They can make a pony show dressed like Mario and they win this.
This is why SONY stayed home. It is like seeing co-workers show up to a meet with an old Powerpoint and start dancing as a distraction!!!!
I enjoyed what they showed for Watchdogs Legion, I liked the Roller Champions game, and the last game they announced, Gods & Monsters, had an awesome art style imo and I love Greek Mythology so it defiantly peaked my interest. Overall, 5.5/10
There was nothing of any interest at the show for me, aside form a few things at Microsoft's show it's been really poor so far hopefully Squarenix give us a good show
Poop on a stick
I couldn't get passed the terrible accents of the 'highlight' of the show - a new Watchdogs (not that I liked 1 or bought 2 anyway) and everything after that seemed to be more 'content' for old games - apart from one 3 player co-op game that wasn't just one of the modes of a single-player campaign - the way games used to have separate modes for SP, co-op and/or MP.
For me, a 'good' show is a show that reveals 'new' games that I can add to my wanted list that wasn't on there already from previous years. Ubisoft looks like they won't be getting any money from me in the upcoming future and I was not able to add anything new to my list of games wanted - therefore its a 'poor' show and, despite all the Sony Fanboys criticising MS's show, MS's show is still the best as it revealed many new games that I added to my wanted list with all those world premiers.
I can't see Square Enix beating MS - purely because they don't often have games that appeal to me. Others may feel differently but apart from Tomb Raider and the upcoming Avengers game, only Deus Ex (I think) is a Franchise that I tend to buy when the price drops. I know many that look forward to games like Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts but these don't appeal to me so not expecting much later on.
Its not been the greatest year and its almost so disappointing that the next gen can't come soon enough - not from just the hardware perspective and what that means for games, but from the perspective of having some great games to really look forward to because they are not 'holding' the games back for next gen, not keeping quiet on what games we can look forward to playing...
This E3 is just all around meh. 😑
This games as service rubbish is just killing these conferences for me. Rather than more new, exciting new game announcements, we're getting update after update to games I was bored of ages ago. And no Rayman? Shame shame
@themcnoisey Gaas "powered" games...you mean full of hot air (or helium), hype & float away & disappear after you've spent your money on 'em 'til its sequel & find your gear is now useless?! ;p
Even if we saw Rayman Legends/Splinter Cell follow up, Ubi's service obsession games would ruin 'em. BG&E2 we're hardly continuing Jade's adventures where things left off after the first game, are we?
I left the show during Breakpoint so wondered what the grand finale was going to be. With Watchdogs kicking off I assumed they had something awesome up their sleeves for the end.
I’m not saying Gods & Monsters doesn’t look interesting but if that very short video was all they showed it must have been a very flat ending.
@themcnoisy the next gen will probably be last decent one for sp games im afraid.
It is hard to tell if this is end of the gen or that the publishers just aren't releasing new IP's and none GAAS.
The issue with releasing additions to existing games is that it is hard to actually make them sound enticing and not the cynical cash grab that they are.
Watch Dogs 3 looked really good, I turned it off after that and it sounds like I made the right decision
not really, AC London looked very good
No it was nothing but pre rendered cutscenes like every Ubi E3 show none of those games will look like that, and they then slap fans in the face by putting Sam Fisher in a mobile game. When he was in Wildlands everyone was freaking out thinking could we see a new game. But no they'd rather use there famous characters instead and shove them in a live service game.
10 years since Fisher graced our screens in SC and they gave him a small cameo and send back in the box
Very dissapointed to not see a new Splinter Cell,
On the other hand, WatchDogs looked great!
@Agramonte "They can make a pony show dressed like Mario and they win this."
Squenix upped the ante considerably last night. They must have had 7 or 8 games coming to Switch. 5 or 6 of which were old ports like FF8 and The Last Remnant but those games have followings. Also DQB2, DQXIS, FF:CC. Those 2 Saga games I think. IT's actually very possible that the Squenix show has more Switch games coming than the Nintneod Direct will.
I still think the Nintnedo show will be better, but they'll have to earn the win now, before Squenix they had already been crowned winner.
But seriously, last year was 30 minutes of Smash, if they do that with Super Mario Maker 2 they lose, Squenix wins.
@rjejr so I hear... And they discovered "gameplay footage"!. The pony got fired... Nintendo Called mario to suit-up! 😁
Legion looks great but thats it
Ubisoft announced everything I wanted can not wait for the next 9 months. I have netflix so happy about the movie as well.
@Agramonte Nintneod Direct was good. I need to watch it again, hard to really get into it and chat at the same time, but there were a whole lot of Switch games. Maybe mostly ports but a couple of new ones as well. People on NL shouldn't complain so much about ports - mostly RE 5 + 6 - and also complain when Switch doesn't get ports. Gotta take the bad w/ the good. Witcher 3 would be the good.
