Black Desert, or Black Desert Online, as it's often called, has been floating around in our PlayStation periphery for years. The MMORPG launched on PC an age ago, and it came to Xbox One earlier this year. It has a heavy focus on action, with totally over-the-top attacks wiping out whole groups of enemies in real-time combat. It's all incredibly flashy, and at one point, you could have probably called Black Desert the most visually appealing MMO out there.

Here in 2019 it's not quite as impressive as it once was, but it still looks gorgeous at times, and it's set its sights on PlayStation 4. All we have to go on right now is a "2019" release window, but we can't imagine that it's too far away. It's also worth noting that Black Desert is not a free-to-play MMO, as is so common these days, but it doesn't have a subscription, either. You just buy it, and that's that.

Having said that, there has been a bit of a backlash in recent years regarding the game's microtransactions, of which there are reportedly many. We'll have to see how it holds up on PS4 before jumping to any conclusions, though.
