Days Gone has just detailed its first batch of upcoming DLC, which kicks off today with the new survival difficulty mode. It's available for download right now, weighing in at 16GB.

Then, on 20th June, challenges become a part of the Days Gone experience. Rotating on a weekly basis, these will test your shooting, driving, and horde killing abilities in an assortment of scenarios. There'll be modifiers and scores to track, and doing well will earn you patches which come with perks. 12 challenges over 12 weeks mean you'll be returning to Days Gone more than you might have thought over the summer months.

That's not all though, as changeable character skins are now available as part of the new Challenges. You'll be able to play as apocalypse Deacon, flashback Deacon, and even shirtless Deacon. On top of that, you'll have the chance to role play as Boozer, Rikki, Addy, Iron Mike and six other characters.

Will you be playing more of Days Gone this summer? Kill the screamers in the comments below.
