We've not seen much of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night for a little while, and it seems for good reason. Developer Inti Creates has clearly taken a lot of feedback on board, and has worked to improve the game's somewhat bland art style. As you can see in this new trailer, it's quite an impressive overhaul. The new visuals have much more flair.
The Kickstarted Castlevania-like action game also now has a release date. It'll arrive on PlayStation 4 next month, on 18th June 2019. Are you looking forward to Bloodstained? What do you think of its new look? Have a glass of red in the comments below.

Cool video and good to see that the dev took the criticisms and actually tried to do something positive about it...
I like how they framed the improvements as them taking feedback from critical reactions to previous trailers. It's SUCH a fresh take compared to the usual whining about "toxic" fans.
And yeah, the game really does look better. I'm excited.
Oh, so that's where the funds for the Vita port went.
@Enuo Considering how downgraded even the Switch port is (720p/30 docked), I'm not sure a Vita release would have been optimized to the satisfaction of fans.
I like what I see. I’ll wait for the first reviews though, since I don’t know which version to pick up yet. It’d be cool to have it portable for Switch, but on the other hand... If the downgrade is really that bad, I’ll get it on PS4 Pro.
Love the improvements. It was always a day 1 but I really want this game even more.
looks really good now...by the way this game was supposed to be released on Wii U
@manu0 It was also suppose to be released on Vita too, but due to Song and Nintendo discontinuing support for the systems.....
I still don't like the way they ditched the Vita and Wii U versions since I backed the project but PS4 is the version I wait for.
Somehow I feel this game was in development by the time of Commodore 64...
I can't say I'm a big Castlevania fan, since I've only played one game, but this looks pretty good. Not sure if I'll get it, but I hope those that do enjoy it.
Wow that's quite an improvement. Looking forward to this!
Nice, I'm glad I backed this on kickstater
Wow. That’s definitely a significant upgrade. I’ve really enjoyed a number of the Castlevania titles. This looks quite promising.
It's amazing how just some graphical changes make the game pop more and appear more "alive". I am keeping a watchful eye on this
That's a serious improvement. Glad to see the puddles looking so good!
Backed it so i cant wait to get my copy with sleeve ofcourse. 😁
I was always going to be getting this but it's nice to see the improvements and polish, it's finally going to be here next month!
Massive improvement. Well done!
Wow, what an effort. Took them a lot of balls to do it too. Hats off to the team!
Delays are often bad news in this industry but clearly a very good thing here, great improvement!
Now that's awesome. I love that Koji Igarashi did a bit on the criticism too. That man is a class act.
Next month?! Wheee!
@Ralizah I think you are right there if it doesnt work why waste all the effort there then.
