Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and no-look pass master Patrick Mahomes will front Madden NFL 20, which is due out 2nd August. The headline new feature this year is the Face of the Franchise: QB1 Career Campaign, which will see you working your way through college, before facing the draft and joining a real-world NFL franchise. It sounds similar to MLB The Show’s popular Road to the Show mode – although we’re going to miss the melodramatic Longshot story.

In the gameplay department, EA Sports appears to be banking on its new superstars mechanic, which will give select players unique traits. This means you’re probably going to see more one-handed catches from Odell Beckham Jr, and plenty of misplaced passes from Eli Manning. Elsewhere, the Scenario engine will bring you closer to your favourite team every week during the regular NFL season, while Ultimate Team is getting spruced up with new features and modes.

Doesn’t sound like a whole lot at this stage, but we’re sure more will be revealed in the run up to release. Which of the new features have caught your attention? Let us know in the comments section below.
