PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds was a little late to the battle royale party on PS4, but the 100-player shooter remains a popular alternative to the likes of Fortnite. The game's latest update takes it to version 1.06, and aside from lots of performance and bug fixes, it comes with a major new addition.
Joining the three existing maps in PUBG, this update includes Vikendi, a new, snowy environment in which to do battle. New weapons and vehicles are added as well, including a nimble snowmobile. Server maintenance is expected to end in a couple of hours, allowing PS4 players to start matches in the frosty arena.

I’m still just not sure why I’d pay for PUBG when Fortnite’s free.
@nessisonett IMO PUBG is the better game overall, more tactical, tense, mature, can go prone to hide in bushes and high grass lands, has vehicles, larger maps, realistic weapons and it just feels much more satisfying getting a kill and evading if outnumbered or low on health/ammunition. It’s one of the best battle royale games out there, Fortnite doesn’t appeal to me with its child friendly graphics, OTT weapons and it’s whole building thing. I’ve said before it’s like comparing GTA (PUBG in this sense), a serious and more superior game, to Saints Row (Fortnite) with it's silliness and OTT gameplay aimed to be more fun but still a less superior game to GTA. Fortnite is more popular because it’s free and appeals to the kids more but that doesn’t make it a better game. PUBG is currently £6.49 on CDKeys but it’s only the Xbox One version.
@nessisonett I'm with you.
Pubg is meeting my expectations thus far. The one on one battles and final circle give me the same adrenaline as fighting bosses in dark soulls. Love the vibe, world design, strategy, etc of this game. Fortnite doesnt appeal to me at all. Im lvl 14 and still havent won ya haha. Somehow having some fun though. I do see some personal progress at least.
