How do you enable the original soundtrack in Resident Evil 2? Capcom’s remake of its 1998 classic features a brand new score and sound effects, but if you want to get really nostalgic, then you can toggle on classic music if you prefer. In this guide we’re going to show you how to do it.
How to Select the Original Soundtrack in Resident Evil 2
In order to select the original soundtrack in Resident Evil 2, you’re first going to need to ensure you have the right piece of DLC installed. Available as a pre-order bonus and with various special editions of the game, Capcom is flogging the ‘Original Version Soundtrack Swap’ as a premium piece of add-on content. If you don’t own it, then you can purchase it from the PlayStation Store. Once you’ve acquired it, make sure it’s downloaded and installed on your console.
In order to toggle on the original soundtrack, simply go to ‘Options’ from the main menu screen. Scroll down to audio and change the ‘Music/SFX Version’ to ‘Original’. You can swap back to ‘Remake’ at any time – either from the main menu or via the pause screen when in-game.
