Ubisoft has outlined what players can expect from Assassin's Creed Odyssey in January 2019. The publisher's latest update video covers upcoming DLC as well as new features coming to the game this month.

First off, the second episode of Legacy of the First Blade will be launching soon. The video says mid January, so that's probably next week if we had to guess. And speaking of new quests, two new The Lost Tales of Greece missions will be added in January. The first is available now, and the second will go live at the end of the month. On top of that, a third cyclops enemy is being added, and this time the fight will take place in a volcano. Barring the aforementioned DLC episode, all of this is free for all players.

Next up, we've got the new gameplay features. In the game's next patch, enemy level scaling options will be added, allowing you to manually adjust how powerful enemies throughout the world become as you level up your own character. Right now, regular foes scale to within a few levels of your hero, so this will let you find the right balance.

Last but not least, two new mercenary tiers are being added. Mercenary tiers S1 and S2 will bring yet more bloodthirsty warriors to the game, and both tiers come with their own benefits.
