Rockstar is sure to be pleased with how Red Dead Redemption 2 is doing in the UK charts -- it's officially the country's Christmas number one. While this is still purely based on physical sales, it's a great result for the smash hit western. According to GamesIndustry, it's Rockstar's second ever UK number one at Chrimbo, the first being Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
The top three games in the chart haven't moved at all, so you're looking at FIFA 19 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 in second and third place respectively. The rest of the chart is fairly predictable, with the biggest jump in the top 10 being Battlefield V -- it climbs up from seventh to fourth place thanks to price reductions in stores. The rest of the best sellers are about what we'd expect; Spyro: Reignited Trilogy remains in the middle, Marvel's Spider-Man swings into eighth place, and the ever popular Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy finishes 2018 at number nine.
Here's the final UK top 10 for 2018.

And the digital sales broke records too, so that's some crazy numbers there for RDR2.
I'm looking forward to Red Dead Online coming out of the beta stage so Rockstar can start adding all the free updates to build on the game. It still feels very bare bones at the minute. Still enjoying it, though.
