The Last of Us: Part II Will Not Appear at The Game Awards 2018

Sony and team remains being the dumbest with the timing in the industry. Tease us with the annivesary video few days before TGA and then announce you won‘t be there. Smh.

@JAMes-BroWWWn They posted the video because they wanted to celebrate for its 2 years anniversary since the reveal. Nothing to do with TGA whatsoever. Although, also I guess to remind people that the game is coming, not to be forgotten in the mix of video game news and trailers in the upcoming days ahead.

Damn I thought we’d get a 2019 release date for it there, I guess we’ll find out the release date at a PlayStation Event next year.

@JAMes-BroWWWn I’m PlayStation Guy, but man Sony has had a dry personality since 2017, I’m so impressed with Microsoft since last year and I can’t wait to find out what 8 studio they’re going to purchase. The Next Xbox is gonna be great, Microsoft is going all in for Next Gen.

@Badboyfx86 exactly. I‘ve been a PS player since PS1, but Sony seems to be sleeping on so many aspects. Terrible timing with announcements/reveals, bad and lack of communication with their community, no new acquisition or founding of new game studios, unstable Network ( in 2018), censorship with games (from their homeland) Sony is slowly but surely slacking off. Somebody gotta give 'em a wake up call asap.

At least now I’ve only got to wait five months for Days Gone. That’s annoying as hell.

but i don't care about Dream because it doesn't look interesting to me. Sony should release two biggest exclusive games : The last of us 2 and Ghost of Tsushima in 2019 if they want to have great competition against Nintendo and Microsoft. If Microsoft want release Gear of War 5 and Halo Infinite in 2019 then Sony should do something smart about their exclusive games for 2019

@porhawj2016 They should release the games when they are done. It's only been a little over a year since Lost Legacy released. I'd be surprised if LoU2 is any time before the end 2019/early 2020.

c'mon now,some people here comenting that they want to see ghosts and TLOU 2 games in 2019 just because they can't wait.

yeah let's ignore the quality and just rush out it to shops just so we can have something to play in 2019...

@jdv95 lol Naughty Dogs are best studio so their games alway quality and polished.. Neil Druckmann said TLOU 2 is 50-60 percent in December 2017 then now we are in December 2018 so it should be around 80-90 percent now. it should be done by summer 2019 and release it in October 2019

@mvhess yeah they said they announce release date when they are closer to finish their development but possibly they reveal release date in public during Summer 2019 on same day when they reveal small info for PS5

@porhawj2016 well maybe they will do that,but want to release info on their own terms,instead of relying on a award show.

or maybe they faced some hickups that slowed down the development a bit meaning that they may not be aiming for a 2019 release date (they never said it would come out that year anyway).

and of the 1 of the reasons naughty dog are so good is because they take their time and don't release game faster then they should just because lot's of people want it ASAP or to counter competiton.

Dream is not biggest exclusive game.. TLOU 2 or Ghost of Tsushima are biggest exclusive games for Sony against Nintendo and Microsoft

@porhawj2016 that is true,but that is no reason to say that sony is dumb or getting bad etc that some people are doing.

I think 2019 will bring us Concrete Genie in quarter one, Days Gone in the spring, MediEvil in the fall, and Ghost of Tsushima for the holiday. Death Stranding, Dreams, and TLOU2 will be 2020.

@JJ2 I just tell it how it is, where have you been since E3 2017? Since Andrew House left there is no communication between Sony and the fanbase, my comment has nothing to do with Exclusives. Plain and Simple as a company announcing future things and keeping in touch with the fanbase since last year, Microsoft easily succeeded and PlayStation has failed.

I was really excited about Part II way back then. Don't take me the wrong way, I'll play it day one, but I left the hype train many months ago. Add to that the PS5 and all the amazing games released in 2018 for the PS4, and it feels like Naughty Dog lost its timing for this one.

Since last year I was more interested in games than PR 'announcing future things' beyond 2019.
Ms has always been very good with the talking to be fair.

@PS_Nation I'm too busy playing Persona 3 Dancing in Moonlight so my Xbox One isn't in use at the moment but I'd still rather play my Xbox than TLOU.

If you need to celebrate the 2 year anniversary of a reveal of a game that doesn't even have a release window, you announced too early. To be fair, Sony said (and is currently demonstrating) that they wouldn't make that mistake again, but, man, oh man, this is nothing short of atrocious.

@PS_Nation Xbot yet I've been a PS fan since the PSOne era and the PS brand has been my console f choice for years. I only got my Xbox One for games that wouldn't come to PS4 and unlike your little fanboy I own and use every system but alright.

Also I made an account because I have all the PS system and like the brand, I just don't care for their recent attitude but kk.
