The Game Awards 2018: ANTHEM Spews Some Sci-Fi Mumbo Jumbo with Story Trailer

It's your destiny

You've heard it all before. The ANTHEM is our saviour because the Fallen or the Lost or the Stalkers or something are at the Walls and the Walls can't hold out much longer because the ANTHEM is losing its Resonance due to a lack of Forge Crystals. We need to activate the Arc so that we can harness the power of the ANTHEM once more. Eyes up, Guardian. No wait, that's Destiny.

This latest ANTHEM trailer is full of that kind of sci-fi mumbo jumbo that doesn't actually mean anything, but hey, at least the game's looking pretty, and it's supposed to be fun to play, which is the most important part.

The idea it follows seems to be similar to the relays left behind in Mass Effect. Something left a powerful technology behind. But in this case somebody is trying to make use of it to save mankind, but he is actually the bad guy.
Doesn’t sound that much like destiny to me. But what’s much more important is how the characters will turn out. I expect BioWare typical deep characters.

I got an email today saying o didn't get into the beta or alpha what ever it was for, probably cause I haven't bought an early game on pc in years. I always would get special codes for games on origin of I bought a bit of stuff of there but I don't get much now. I can't believe I didn't even get into the PS4 test either can't be that many slots available for it.

that looked terrible to me. i've got the alpha downloaded (21gb!) ready for the weekend's tests, so i'll see how it plays. OPM's hands-on described it as part destiny part monster hunter.
