The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ Final Booster Packs DLC Will Arrive Soon on PS4

I love this game and play it almost every day and after seeing it on YouTube I've realised there was quite a lot missing for us ps4 players. Huge shout out to Sinvicta who makes my favourite isaac content and has made me a better player with an improved understanding of how the game works. Unfortunately I simply cannot do more than a couple of floors with the lost, that character is ridiculous and I'll never own the amazing 'godhead' item because of this. Its weird, I don't actually have the original game as it was a ps plus freebie but I've bought all the dlc.

Glad they're bringing the packs over to the PS4.

Even though I clocked in hours upon hours of both Isaac games on PC, the game feels more comfortable to me with a dualshock compared to keyboard keys.

That took....nearly two years since the initial release? Jesus.

@RedMan33 definitely buy it once you're done with rebirth. And check out sinvicta's daily eden runs, they're excellent.

@RedMan33 @Deadlyblack how are controls on PS4? I'd like to buy it but not sure how are controls.

Personally I think it controls great, I preferred it on the Vita if I'm honest but when it broke I dropped Isaac started again recently and have zero issues with the DS4

@Dan_ozzzy189 my mates been telling me it needs to be played, I'm still enjoying the hell outta rebirth

@NecuVise It controls really nice. Personally it seems easier to weave and dodge on the DS4 due to a control stick compared to the classic four arrow keys on a keyboard.

@NecuVise I recommend getting Afterbirth because you're getting the most bang for your buck since it has everything from Rebirth but with a bunch of added content. Then Afterbirth+ adds even more stuff to the game, along with the booster packs mentioned above.

@Deadlyblack is rebirth included in afterbirth? If yes, why is then afterbirth cheaper? And what about those physical edition afterbirth+ versions? Does that include everything? This is so confusing to me, sorry to bother you.

I actually have rebirth on steam but I don't game on PC so I'd like to buy it on ps4.

@NecuVise Rebirth is like the base game, with Afterbirth being an expansion and Afterbirth+ is an expansion of Afterbirth.

Digitally, I don't know why. If you buy Afterbirth on PSN it'll be like Rebirth+Afterbirth with Afterbirth+ being a separate purchase.

I’m sincerely looking forward to it, but I hope it doesn’t add trophies. I’ve been slowly working my way towards trophy completion and it is an incredible time sink. Recently came back from a 2-year hiatus and am working through the Afterbirth expansion. Ton of fun, but maddening at times with how much work has to be done to get a few trophies.

Also, a word of warning to anyone who goes for trophies: You cannot get 100% completion on Afterbirth+ if you buy the game digitally. For some reason, you have to buy the physical version of the game in order to unlock the games final 2-3 secrets, which are tied to the last trophy. It’s really dumb, but unfortunately a reality. This is for the PS4 version, I have no idea about the Switch version.

@Dan_ozzzy189 you will get there with the Lost. I just beat Mega Satan with The Lost yesterday. It took me 3 days of trying to get that perfect run.

Best advice I can give is don’t even attempt the hard completion marks with The Lost until you’ve donated 879 coins to the Greed donation machine in Greed mode from the Afterbirth expansion. After you donate 879, The Lost will start with Holy Mantle on all runs from then on. This will allow you to get hit once per room and not die. Still extremely challenging, but a huge help.

I also want to unlock blue candle so have a few hundred to go. On another note, that greed machine is a real pain. Keeps locking up after one or two gold donations and I'm not even at 600 yet! Working towards the keeper. Got maw of the void and athame last month too, awesome items!

@Dan_ozzzy189 The best way to donate to the Greed machine is by using all of the characters, or at least a good variety of them. After you kill Ultra Greed and are able to start donating to the machine, you'll notice a percentage on the screen. This is the likelihood that the machine will jam. The more you donate with a certain character, the higher chance the machine will jam when they try to donate. So if you use the same characters frequently, they will jam the machine fast.

Try Samson and Lilith if you don't use them often. Both very easy to play as and they are strong. Isaac is not too bad when you've unlocked the D6 for him. Basically you want to beat Greed mode with characters you don't use often, and then you will be able to donate many coins to the machine again.

Both me and all my friends really dislikes this game. I really tho it was MAN is this game getting milked!

@deepspace5d I've beaten greed with all characters apart from the lost and greedier with everyone apart from blue baby and the lost. I'll try a couple of different characters but I've not seen any percentage mark. Thanks for your tips.

Unlocked bony bollocks and trying to get the three victory lap trophy. I think lap 3 turns you to the lost and at least I have holy mantle and emporer card at the ready!
