Also available as part of ‘Chlodine’ spin-off story The Lost Legacy, co-op mode Survival is just one small part of the overall Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End puzzle. But it’s an enjoyable one, taking the series’ signature manoeuvrability and shoe-horning it into 50 waves of intense three-player, third-person action. If you ever do reach the end of this game’s ridiculous amount of single player content, there’s a lengthy co-op mode to try your hand at too. This tricky platformer’s bespoke co-operative levels force you to work together to reach the goal, with switches only accessible to one player, or the need for self sacrifice to allow the other to run to the end. It’s difficult, and it could end longstanding friendships, but instant restarts and the satisfaction of success will keep you glued to the screen.
