Beyond Good & Evil 2 still seems so far off, doesn't it? The project does seem to be making some progress, however, as Ubisoft recently held a live stream in which it went over the current state of the game. If you don't have an hour to spare, the publisher has pieced together an abridged version that hits all the main points, and it looks like Michel Ancel and his team is taking things up a notch.

We won't outline everything here, but let's just say it's looking pretty darn ambitious. Your character, equipment, and vehicle are all fully customisable, online co-op won't tether players together in the huge open world, and travel from the ground to outer space is seamless. From orbit, you can even look down at the planet below and see landmarks, where your co-op partner may still be exploring.

It sounds bananas. If Ubisoft can pull everything off, it could be quite the accomplishment. Let's hope the game sees the light of day sooner rather than later.
