A few years back, Five Nights at Freddy's was a bit of an internet sensation. YouTubers loved it, Twitchers couldn't get enough, and all the hip happening kids just wouldn't shut up about it. Those days are (perhaps thankfully) behind us, but only now do we have confirmation that Five Nights a Freddy's is coming to PlayStation 4.
And by that, we mean the entire series. According to developer Scott Cawthon, console ports of the PC games are in the works. There's no set date attached to them yet, but Cawthon suggests 2019.
For those totally out of the loop, Five Nights at Freddy's has you sit in a room watching security cameras as creepy animatronic animals gradually approach your position. Jump scares are usually the result.
Would you play Five Nights at Freddy's on PS4? Don't take your eyes off the screens in the comments section below.

And then people were like: NOOOOOO PLEASE DONT I BEG OF YOU THESE GAMES ARE CANCER...
No seriously people around are actually not a fan of this xD
Me: It’s cool.
@Derpie1 i found it decidedly
I'm surprised it took him this long. The concept is cool but I hate jumpscares.
I have heard a lot of buzz about Five nights and Freedies but not really seen what it is. Just looked at a quick video on you tube and none the wiser . from what I saw looks like it could work in VR
meh.
it's a nice idea but after a while i would become bored with the same formula, there just is not much to it other then repetitive steps and then a cheap jumpscare. all those youtubers had a blast with it,but looking at the youtube hype some bad or just average games get, that does not suprise me.
good for the people that like this formula, but i just can't call these games horror games.
@bindiana yeah it’s a little too late for most people I’d imagine. But VR would absolutely be another story.
@ztpayne7 I agree. I feel most people who was interested in this game either already played it on PC or watched one of the thousands of videos about it on YouTube already.
Could someone explain the aim of the game as all I saw was flicking through cameras and then back to a room and the odd animal moved. Is the aim not to get caught by the animals?
Not sure this would work as well on PS4 but they're decent games for what they are.
The concept was interesting with the first 2 games, but after that it started getting really stale, really fast.
@NintendoFan4Lyf did you copy and paste this comment from all the other articles you make exactly the same remark?
The first game was very unique - and quite creepy - when it came out. It became too much of the same thing with the sequels I think. Still, it's pretty cool to get these unique style of games on consoles as well, I'm sure they will find an audience. It's not for me though, far too stressful.
Wasn’t this announced a year ago? My nephew was obsessed with this... he has since moved onto fortnite... 😂
@bindiana You have to shut doors and check monitors while trying to save power, if you mess up then the game ends in a jumpscare and it gets harder with each night, there are now a total of 8 games including a spin off (more to come), 5 books (3 of which are novels) new books are also coming, lots of merch and a movie to come
As of now things are going great for people who like this game series
@BenDavis Thanks it was the shutting of doors and the power mechanic I wasn't getting in the video i watched.
I've tried playing the first game on PC but never got past the intro level...will eventually pick up this complete collection when it's dirt cheap.
