Ubisoft Jokes About Assassin's Creed Odyssey Not Being a 'Proper Assassin's Creed Game'

Ubisoft already left Spears in my abdomen by massacring the series in every way possible. Abandoning the actual AC series and making the name a shameless cash-cow? Check. Releasing a great game so broken no sees how great it is and leaves parts unnecessarily rough the edges? Check. Rushing out a title next year that lacks in many ways and obviously was changed to not be the last game and bring back vision instead of working on the technical of the game? Check.

@JoeBlogs Origins was excellent and I dont doubt Odyssey will be too but those games are NOT Assassin's Creed. Where are the assassins and templars? They didn't even exist back then.These games are only RPGs set in historical settings. Ubisoft is milking the name too much.

I'm not fussed. Black Flag and Origins didn't really feel like typical Assassin's Creed games but that never stopped me enjoying them. As long as there's always a stack of hay to eagle dive into then I consider it an Assassin's Creed game.

You can bet most of the same people who complain about this and origins and the same lot who complained every release of a creed game that its boring and stale it and it needed to.change!

Just another case of people just hating everything and those seeking attention.

For those saying there are no templers etc, remember the first game is called ORIGINS so we are find out how they came along also if they milking it, it's been going on for a long time, any game after three i would say is milking it.

I think people need to take a chill pill, if you don't care for assassins creed thats fine. But complaining after every little detail, just chill out a little bit. I really enjoyed origins and the fact that i can play as a female is fab

they may be joking but Odyssey ISN'T a proper Assassin's Creed game, it's an action RPG and if it's anything like Origins then it's probably a pretty bland one too (the ONLY AC game i never finished)

You're all mad. Assassin's Creed was getting really, reeeeally stale. Syndicate was fine but that's all it was. I felt like Origins breathed some much needed life into the series and I think it's the best game yet overall.

I get the argument of "it's no longer Assassin's Creed" but I'm not really arsed if the game's good.

giving up long ago try to see any logic or common sense from gamers. as we both said it had been stale for sometime and origins fixed that, most of the changes are a huge positive, Ok it might not feel like a creed game to some with no templers etc but like others i found that the most dull and boring part of the games

@Undead22 Look dude, I played every single Assassins Creed game and I platinumed Origins and spent over 70h in the game and dlcs. Not to mention I will buy Odyssey and I am a big history buff. I am even very excited for Odyssey! I LOVED Origins and it was a great game but that is not Assassins Creed game. They needed to evolve the series and I get that but they strayed off the lore path too much and a lot of old fans left the series. I am not whining, I am stating the facts! These are great games but they are not good assassins creed games if you can process that.

@JoeBlogs They messed up the animus stuff too much and modern world story is just bad after they killed Desmond. I hope they will just ditch the modern day story in favour of historical one because it is obvious they dont know what to do with it. From what I have seen the only AC link are those artefacts like apple of Eden. Odyssey starts over 200 years prior to Origins which was about creating the Assassins order.

This game isn’t like Assassin’s Creed. Maybe that’s why I’m interested in it. To be honest I’ve not laid a finger on an AC since the every first game. I hated that game so much that I abandoned the series. Origins and Oddysey both look interesting enough to pull me back in.

I laughed way too hard at that... and giggled on and off for like an hour afterwards... there's something about his delivery that makes it feel so much funnier to me than it actually is

All these complaints are by far the funniest I’ve come across. “No assassins? Running away from the AC lore? Excuse me? Has everyone not paid attention or even played this series!? I’ve put over 135 hours in Odyssey exploring. Not to mention that all the games were shown in Assassins Creed 2 in the Villa! Even Ancient Greece, end of story about Atlantis. The Isu Artifacts, the Cult of Kosmos, the Order of the Ancients (which if you’ve paid attention since day one, you’d realize this is the origins behind the Order. They even are the order from Assassins Creed Origins!). Everywhere I look it’s getting the franchise to be the bad people. GLAAD complained about heterosexual normalization in a time where GENDER IDENTITIES weren’t a thing. People complain about the feel, yes it’s different then blocking just being Y (for Xbox) they made it much more fluid of movement in a wide world. My only complaints are that Ubisoft has tucked their artistic tail between their legs and changing the DLC for a group of people that never played the series and think this game is like Mass Effect and Dragon Age where you make up the roll of your character. This game has a definitive role that you tag along for the ride in the drivers seat of your ancestors memories again. (Sounds like Assassins Creed) Not only to mention that the beginning of each game STATES this is a game created from s multicultural team and different gender identities. If the WHOLE TEAM didn’t think something should be in it, why the heck does a fascist group have to force a company out of Fear to change their product. BOOOOOOOO
