The Abyss, the latest big update for No Man's Sky, is out today on PlayStation 4. It brings a load of improvements to the game, and focuses on underwater habitats as well as aquatic alien life. You can expect new story stuff, new building structures, new creatures, and even overhauled swimming and diving controls. Very nice.
Anyway, you can find all of the details in the launch trailer, which we've embedded above. Needless to say, we're happy to see that No Man's Sky is still expanding and building upon its ideas. At this point it really is a different game to the divisive title that released back in 2016.

Looks pretty good and I had fun with this at launch but I doubt I'll ever have the time to go back to this one
Nice of Hello Games to keep the updates coming. I'll dive into this one when i get the chance.
@Elodin I hope that was a pun.
I hope it's not abyssmal.
@BowTiesAreCool Now we're talking
@ShogunRok Pun-master detected...
If only I had time to go back...
Looks brilliant, loving all the updates in the last few months, completely transformed the game!
This game really needs a second review.
@ShogunRok glad you caught that. 😊
Still never got round to playing this. I keep seeing the updates though and it’s looking better and better. Picking it up cheap in a few months will be a bargain I reckon.
how big is the game data for this game now with all patches? must be close too 100gb now.
its amazing support for this game.
This great game just gets better and better.
@huyi thinks its around 20gb chum 25gb at most.
Although I admire the continued support, I think it’s unfortunately too late to recapture any interest from the majority of the PlayStation audience as that ship has sailed. The Xbox players hopefully are soaking this up, however.
I like this game much better now. It's genuinely brilliant. On a separate note, the praise that PES 2019 has received since a gameplay patch last week really does go to show how idiotic it is for game companies to release games when they are not finished. Both NMS and PES 2019 for example (Assassins Creed Unity as well) will forever have poor reviews or opinions or whatever scores on the internet when the actual opinion of them is far better post patch. Why don't these companies just wait a bit?
@huyi it's 18 gb after the update. The base game was 5!
