Pull a sheet over your head and stuff your face with sweets: Halloween is almost here. Some of you may be celebrating the holiday by playing some creepy horror games, but we think we've found the most apt game for the season. Halloween Forever is a cutesy 8-bit platformer that's coming to both PS4 and PS Vita tomorrow in select regions (though sadly not Europe).
It stars Pumpkin Head, a pumpkin brought to life by an evil undead sorcerer, and sees you running through various spooky levels shooting candy corn from your carved mouth. It looks pretty fun, and as we said, it's perfect for getting into the Halloween spirit.
Will you be playing Halloween Forever on 31st October? Egg a stranger's house in the comments below.

Looks like a pain in the pumpkin!
Select regions, you say? Please tell me it’s coming out in EU territories?!
[NOTE]: Having just watched the trailer, I see Halloween Forever is not releasing in Europe. Thanks a bunch for getting our (my) hopes up, Push Square. For a UK based site, you really should have stated that at the outset.
@JoeBlogs Oh you’re absolutely right, RDR2 will do very nicely. It’s just that, as a huge fan of retro styled platformers, Halloween Forever would’ve been great to have on my Vita 😩
Eh, would be better if it was Costume Quest 3 or something with Silent Hill instead! Other than that, horror movies galore for the whole month (Friday The 13th marathon and Freddy marathon, plus some other great classics) and then, take the kids trick or treating and surviving the weather outside here (went from summer to winter and skipped fall altogether). Anyways, could be a good game, but it depends on the price...definitly not one that I'd pay more than $5 for, so it'll have to wait until a flash sale or other sale for me.
Looks AMAZING! Instabuy.
I've now specified that the game isn't getting a European release in the article. Apologies.
@The_Pixel_King According toe playstation.com, it arrives in the UK on the 22nd.

@JoeBlogs brainfart
Well, gonna go back to bed.
Nothing to see here.
Anyone else getting serious Ghosts & Goblins vibes from this? Looks amazing but hopefully it's not as punishing as G&G.
Looks interesting. If it's only eight bucks or something I'll pick it up immediately, anything above that and I'm going to hold off for reviews (if there are reviews).
@mazz I thought the very same thing! So you can imagine my disappointment to learn that it’s not coming to the UK 😢
Theres not many things i love more than halloween and heavy metal (and retro games like the good ol days). Im gonna buy this so fast itll make your head spin
looks pre decent, tho i have been fooled recently and will wait for a couple reviews
@bbtothe Looks like it's getting fantastic reviews on Steam! It's also only $4.99 there. Very heartening. I'll definitely pick it up when it's available (despite articles all over saying Oct 19th, here we are and it's not in the US store).

@glassmusic Its still not in the US store? Its not here in the Australian store either but in the actual video they have October 19th listed? Surely the vid wouldn't be wrong? I had to make a US account to play Fox N Forests the other week so I'm ready to grab it whenever its avalibale!
@bbtothe It’s apparently available on Monday, which is in eight hours for me. I’ll check tomorrow morning!
@glassmusic Awesome if you don't mind letting me know!
@bbtothe I played it for about fifteen minutes before work today. So far I'm really enjoying it! The game is definitely a throwback to the 8-bit era, which includes a difficulty that's unforgiving if you haven't already played the level before. The platinum trophy is basically out of the question as it involves playing through the entire game only getting hit three times (you have to play in 1HP mode, and you have three lives). If you die, you start the entire level over--there are no checkpoints from what I've seen.
If you're a fan of those old NES games, you'll love this.
@glassmusic excellent thanks for that! not bothered by the difficulty for the plat I only really go for them on super select games, will probably grab this tonight and try polish it off before RD
