Red Dead Redemption 2 Can You Fast Travel Guide 1

How do you fast travel in Red Dead Redemption 2? Can you fast travel in RDR2? Well, the unfortunate answer for those of you looking to quickly revisit discovered areas is that you can't -- at least, you can't at the start of the game. In order to fast travel in Red Dead Redemption 2, you're going to need to spend some money on upgrading your main camp.

How to Fast Travel in Red Dead Redemption 2

To fast travel in Red Dead Redemption 2, you need to upgrade your gang's main camp a little. Check the ledger next to the donation box behind Dutch's tent and you can turn the pages to reveal a list of improvements that can be made to the camp. Each upgrade costs money, with additional upgrades costing more.

To unlock fast travel, you'll first have to upgrade Dutch's tent, which costs $220. Once that's done, you'll have the option of upgrading Arthur's tent, which costs $325. This is the upgrade that unlocks fast travel, allowing you to pick a discovered location from the map and travel there via a load screen.

You'll also need to make sure that the money is in the donation box before upgrading. Money that's in your own wallet doesn't count towards upgrades, so transfer it over to the donation box before you start improving the camp.

Unlocking fast travel isn't exactly cheap near the start of the game when your funds are limited, so it could be a while before you've saved enough money. Our advice would be to mostly stick with story missions until you have the cash.
