EA’s slashing the prices of its various games, with a new PlayStation Store sale in North America cutting costs by up to 80 per cent. PlayStation Plus subscribers can get the recently released NBA Live 19 for as little as $23.99, while older titles like Battlefield 1 ($5.19) and Star Wars Battlefront 2 ($9.99) can be yours for just a shade more than pocket change.
The promotion doesn’t cover the publisher’s entire catalogue – the likes of FIFA are missing at the time of typing – but if you’ve been in the market for any of EA’s legacy titles, then this set of offers is worth having a look through. Seriously who would buy Battlefield 1 now with V coming out next month?
@Tasuki thrifty people. I tend to buy games late because I don’t have a lot of extra money right now (Spider-man was an exception). Just got AC origins a month or so ago, for example. I already played the campaign of battlefield 1 via a GameFly trial, so I’m not too concerned about that one.
Booo! Another EA sale! These games are on sale so often that they might as well just keep these prices as the default ones.
Anyway, as always, I think people oughta pick up Mass Effect Andromeda: Deluxe Edition for $10 if they haven't already. Yeah, it's probably not the best month to delve into an RPG shooter like that, with RDR2 on the horizon, but still...the recommendation stands! Fun game with a slow intro, but something for everyone: exploration, a flawed but interesting story, multiplayer, and the best 3rd person combat ever, IMHO!
@Tasuki Personally, wouldn't bother with either. If I get an urge for some Battlefield action, I'll stick 4 on.
Didn’t they just have sale 2 weeks ago? I’m not sure what they’re trying to do here. I guess sell more, but it just doesn’t seem to be getting the right results or something.
@Tasuki I'd spend € 5 for the Battlefield single-player campaign but I won't since I'm forced to download all the multyplayer stuff.
@Tasuki It's £3.99 on the UK store, so even if you buy it just to play the campaign I'd say that's decent value for money isn't it? I don't play online, especially FPS, so I always wait until they are dirt cheap and get them for the campaigns, which are short, so not worth more than a few quid.
It's an EA game; any amount is too much.
