Sketched by series director Tetsuya Nomura himself, the image shows key characters like Sora, Mickey Mouse, and Donald Duck. Love or loathe the franchise, it’s hard to deny that this is a wonderful illustration.

I played all games (except the prequel one) and I honestly don't even understand who's alive or not lol I see people on this box art that I thought were dead lol

They should be selling this poster size, w/ the first 1,000 autographed by Nomura. I don't need the autograph but I'll certainly be on the lookout for this to hang on a wall somewhere.

@rjejr it's the last game of the Xehanort Saga but not necessarily the last Kingdom Hearts game but it will apparently finish the story that KHI started

Well when it's finally done. They said no season pass but the door is open for DLC worlds. A usual I'll wait. Plus I still need to play 2.8.

@Octane Well that's why it does matter, it this wasn't going to finish it I might not bother. If I die before GoW Part 2 releases I'm gonna be pissed. And I'm not even playing part 2 until someone can confirm to me there is no part 3. Which people have told me there will be b/c of the mythology.

How many Soras are there in that cover art? You know it doesn't bode well when even the game's box art is confusing! I will still be tempted though of course, despite how convoluted it all is.

Box art looks amazing! Only game I played was 1 back on the PS2, god I was only around 17 when I played it, good times.

Never played it, but it's very nice to look at. Also had that song from the trailer stuck in my head for ages, though I'm not really the jpop guy.
Haven't played any of the others, but it looks so good. Would I be completely lost without playing the others?
@Octane maybe we don't need another kh game after this... i wouldn't be sad if that were the case, despite playing every mainline entry. i just get fatigued with certain franchises and would prefer to see something new instead...
@AFCC You seriously need to play "the prequel One", Birth by Sleep is VERY important to the KH3 story.

Both games go on sale frequently for $20 New, so the entire series would only cost you $40, $100 if you count KH3.

Highly recommend to spend the time playing thru all the games in 1.5 + 2.5 and 2.8, or at least watch them on youtube/watch a recap.
@KidBoruto Yeah I've got my playthough scheduled for early December . Just after Darksiders 3. Should beat the collection in ~5-6 weeks.

Not played a KH game, but yes this box art is very nice. I must say I am very confused by all the KH games and their numbering system. I do plan to play them with my daughter when she’s old enough, so I’ll figure it out then!

@eltomo if you not played dream distance drop you wouldn't understand it. Basically 13 darkness against 13 weilders of the light

@NintendoFan4Lyf Worse case you can always watch recap videos or skim thru gameplay videos. There are also YouTubers that splice together all the cutscenes into one big movie.
@Fight_Teza_Fight Nice planning . I'll probably start my own KH marathon around the same time, it all depends on how long it takes me to beat Spyro Reignited Trilogy and the Halloween games if I haven't beaten them.

@GravyThief It's very easy to understand! All you need to buy is 1.5 + 2.5 Collection ($20 on sale) and the 2.8 Collection ($20 on sale).
1.5 Playing Order: KH1, Re: CoM, watch 358/2 Days cutscenes.
2.5 Playing Order: KH2, Birth by Sleep, watch Re: Coded cutscenes.
2.8 Playing Order: Dream Drop Distance, Birth by Sleep 0.2: A Fragmentary Passage, and finally watch Back Cover movie.
Once you've done all of that, you'll be completely caught up and ready for KH3 when it releases.

@eltomo confirmed 7 but theres actually more if youve played dream distance drop but that would be spoilers . Unconfirmed theory. Wouldn't make sense to have 13vs 7 but we'll see in January
It does look quite nice, don't have much interest in the game though. I've found every single KH after the first one average to straight out bad, also Nomura storytelling & dialogue just doesn't do it for me.
Will be listening to the soundtrack though definitely.

@KidBoruto there are 7 Princesses of light but King Mickey and Yen Sid are trying to find 13 Keyblade wielders to fight the Organisation's 13 members
remember you don't have to be a light wielder or a Darkness wielder to be a Keyblade wielder, case in point Mickey has the Keyblade of the Realm of Darkness yet he doesn't carry darkness within him
@AFCC nup lets just say it involves time travel without spoiling kingdom hearts too much think nobodies and heartless one side of the same coin. Defeat the heartless and nobody version they'll form the orginal version
