The time to hunt the mighty Behemoth has arrived. In case you haven't been keeping up, Capcom and Square Enix have joined forces to bring crossover events to both Monster Hunter: World and Final Fantasy XIV. Monster Hunter's event sees you play through a small storyline before taking on the aforementioned Behemoth in what promises to be a challenging battle.
The Behemoth hunt is actually quite unique, in that it borrows some combat mechanics from Final Fantasy XIV. For example, the hulking purple beast will focus on one specific party member if they attack its head, meaning that a defensive character build is preferred. To keep your tank topped up, a party member with a more supportive role may also be a good idea. It's all very MMO.
Anyway, the event's live on PlayStation 4 right now, so check for updates and make sure to download it -- it's around 900MB in size. Will you be joining the hunt? Show that Behemoth who's boss in the comments section below.

Gonna Solo him to start off. Once you've soloed G rank rajang and a super Alatreon you lose the fear factor.
There is that super powered Behemoth at the end of the month though. Also Arch tempered Teostra and Kushala.
Just completed the first two Assignment Quests (Kulu-Ya-Ku and Behemoth). Gonna play the rest later today. Just curious, but where else can you get the Aetheryte Shards? Also, how do you get the Moogle outfit?
Can't wait to hunt this beast
Always fun to hunt new monsters. I'll have a try at it this weekend.
@WanderingBullet The Moogle outfit it's probably a delivery but i could be wrong and you can also capture cactus 🌵 i got a big one and a crazy one that won't stop running 😂
@GKO900 I just completed the 3rd Special Assignment. You'll get the Moogle outfit along with the new Kinsect and Guild Card stuff once you've completed the 3rd Special Assignment. Thing is, I don't how to farm Behemoth materials now. I'm guessing I'll have to get its investigations...
Thanks! Didn't know you could catch them. Do they appear in expeditions?
@WanderingBullet Well I caught them in the giant Kulu Yaku special assignment it was like they were waiting to be caught lol, don't know where else they appear though
@GKO900 Thanks, caught two in expedition. Also, just found out that you can farm Behemoth materials in Optional Quests.
