As has become the fashion recently, Far Cry 5 is the latest major game to receive a New Game + mode in a post launch update. It operates as you'd expect -- once you've finished the story, you'll be able to carry all your character's progression over to a new run. This includes, money, skills, equipment, weapons, and more. You can play New Game + as many times as you like, and can even stack upgrade points on certain skills, such as ammo capacity, to make your character even stronger.
Also introduced in this latest update is a new difficulty level called Infamous. This is now the hardest setting, and essentially beefs all the enemies up. They'll have more health, will deal more damage, and can spot you sooner, which should give any Far Cry veterans a run for their money. The update is available now.
Will you be returning to Far Cry 5 for New Game +? Try not to get 'Amazing Grace' stuck in your head in the comments below.

Not bad. Far Cry 5 is one of those games on my radar, just waiting for that perfect sale.
normally i'm not fussed about new game plus but since they've added a single new trophy......... I can't resist going back for round 2
@ ShogunRok
If you liked FC3 and or FC4 you will probably like FC5. The dlc looks mediocre with a copy of FC3 included as maybe the best feature of the season pass.
I have found the Arcade mode very fun. Arcade is included with the base game.
The added new game + will make replays better. However you may not find yourself enjoying fishing, like in the above image, unless they fixed fishing in this update.
@NoCode23 Yeah I'm a sucker for dumb open world fun that's well crafted. I'll definitely pick this up one day.
I really tried to like this game but I think I was just fatigued with playing previous entries.
Considering how bad the DLC has reportedly been, this is a welcome addition and one I felt the game kinda needed anyway. It'll be cool to replay the game again without losing progression.
