What Are You Playing This Weekend?

Who’s melting? After a hellish heatwave, storms have supposedly rolled into the UK, bringing the temperatures down. Not here at Push Square Towers, however, where there are currently SEGA skies overhead and burning sunshine. Will it ever rain again? We’ll keep you updated.

Good question, I don't actually know what I'm going to play this weekend. I beat Madden NFL 18's Longshot mode in preparation for the sequel this week, and I enjoyed that. I really want to give Rise of the Tomb Raider another try, but I'm not sure it's the right time.

When I'm not busy being a puddle, I'll be trying my hand at The Division, which, even just a couple of hours in, seems like a much improved experience since I last tried it a couple of years back. The fact that the game's set during winter is driving me mad, though – never been so jealous of snow.

My usually borderline daily dip into Rainbow Six: Siege will no doubt continue. Might test the waters on the NHL 19 beta too. 18 is kinda a trainwreck, so hopefully, 19 gives me a reason to be excited. I won't hold my breath, though.

It's a rare weekend off work for me, and so all three of my consoles will be getting a look in over the next two days. On the Nintendo Switch it'll be Octopath Traveller, while on the Xbox One I'm passing the time with ReCore. When the sun goes down and the temperature drops to a more habitual heat however, I'll be jumping into The Persistence.

I kicked off last week by starting BioShock 2 and now that that’s completed I’ve wasted no time getting into BioShock Infinate. The two games feel completely different, each with their own flair and themes but so far the BioShock series is yet to let me down. Alongside that I’ve recently re-started Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. The graphics and story on this game never fail to amaze me.

So because of Push Square's best Loot Games article a few days ago I got the itch to return to Borderlands 2. So I will be breaking out my Siren for some loot goodness. I also will be continuing with Ori and the Blind Forest.

What will you be playing before you officially melt, then? Is there anything in particular you're hoping to play through? Let us know in the comments section below.
