We hope that you like low sales numbers, because that's what you're getting with the latest Japanese charts. Still sitting at the top of the software pile is Dark Souls Remastered on PlayStation 4, which somehow managed to retain its position with a mere 19,900 copies. Newcomer BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle barely put up a fight with just 11,700 copies on Sony's console. The fact it ended up in the top five tells you everything you need to know.
On the hardware side of things, PlayStation 4 sales remain quite low, with the current-gen system moving around 18,000 units across the standard model and the PS4 Pro.

Those Detroit numbers are actually pretty good.
Japan sure loves Androids.
BlazBlue: Cross Tag Bomba more like.
Good...Trash practices will do that for you I'm hoping it bombs here too.
Nice hold for detroit
@Hapuc It has nothing to do with the DLC.
While the numbers are low, fighting games in consoles never sell that much in Japan. Go and see the number of Media Crate for other fighting games.
The arcade still has a strong presence in Japan.
Strange that Switch constantly remains at the top of hardware but it's software hasn't been at the top for awhile.
@HungryWolf If it failed on PS4 and Switch I'm good with it,even more so since no one talks about this game in the west.
Kinda disapppointed with Blazblue's sales, but at least Detroit's seems to be intact, if not, even better than usual.
I think the Blazblue hate is a bit premature at this point. It was released less than a week ago in JPN and still managed to make it to the top 5 with the PS4 version. The NSW version also hit the top 20. If you add them together it shifted 15k since last Thursday and the day of chart release. I think next week’s chart will show an improvement on both consoles.
That’s not to say I agree with the DLC practices or lack of an arcade mode. But with all DLC included the grand total cost is 70$. That is cheaper than most any AAA game and it’s DLC in any genre. I don’t think that is too much at the end of the day.
I'm glad Detroit is doing good and I don't get the Blazblue hate sure they made a poor decision with the dlc but like the comment above me is still only 10 more for the complete game what it is a surprise is to see a cardboard tech demo in the top 20 even for Japan
