A detail that many a SoulCalibur fan has been waiting on, SoulCalibur VI producer Motohiro Okubo has confirmed that character creation will return -- at least in some form.
Okubo appeared on Twitch's E3 livestream, and during a question and answer session, he said that character creation will indeed be a part of the upcoming fighter. However, Okubo didn't give any specific details. Instead, he said the developer still isn't totally sure about how it'll be implemented. In other words, we'll have to wait patiently for a full reveal.

Hopefully it will be an awesome fully fledged character creator given the delays this game is having.
About time they clarified that, as long as it's at least on par with the one they had with SC5 I will be perfectly fine with it. Could use some more indepth face customization though.
I've never really gotten into SoulCalibur before (although I own a couple of the games...probably only have a dozen hours of play) but as I understand it, there hasn't been a game without a character creator!
I'm personally more into keeping the base characters and making them look goofy.
