Kingdom Hearts III Release Date E3 2018 PS4 PlayStation 4

Fans have been waiting for Kingdom Hearts III for a very long time, and over the last year or so, a 2018 release date has been a shining beacon of hope. The good news is the elusive game has at last been granted a concrete release date. The bad news is it misses 2018. Kingdom Hearts III releases on 29th January 2019, just falling short of this year.

The game's director, Tetsuya Nomura, took to social media to apologise for the delay. "We’ve announced the release day for KINGDOM HEARTS III ahead of E3 at the KINGDOM HEARTS Orchestra -World Tour-. I’m sorry that we’re asking for a little more time than initially planned. Please look forward to other information, including a few trailers at E3. Thank you."

It's fair to say many people were sceptical about a 2018 release date, and as it turns out, rightly so. That said, it's only missing out on this year by a few weeks; we dare say that fans will be able to hold out that little bit longer. All eyes to Square Enix's E3 2018 press conference, then, for some new info.
