The PlayStation YouTube channel has just uploaded the first part of a series of director commentary videos on the PS4 exclusive of the moment, God of War. The video, embedded above, features Cory Barlog talking over the first ten minutes of the game.
It offers some fresh insight on the uncharacteristically quiet, slow opener. Barlog speaks about everything from the importance of quieter moments to taking inspiration from Arnold Schwarzenegger in Commando. It's worth a quick watch if you're keen for some behind the scenes chit chat. Watch out for the odd spoiler, though.

I appreciate this, but I won't be watching these videos at all until after I buy (and complete) the game.... made it this far without spoiling it for myself and I don't intend to do that now.

@Turismo4GT I'm still waiting for a price drop to $25-$30 New or cheaper, so most likely Black Friday/Holiday 2018 for me.
If this sells as well as Horizon did or better, this can be easily done...Horizon was selling for $20 New during BF/Holiday 2017.
More games need to do these commentary videos. I've just finished the main story, just gotta mop up favours, labours etc (yes I am using the UK spelling for those!!)

@Turismo4GT You really do have to play this before watching the video - there are a number of spoilers in it. Its good to see the thought process of the opening 10mins BUT the dialogue does mention things you won't find out until much later in the game.
The God of War Kratos pushed both Cronos' hands and gutted them, hooked his liver, cut off the head of Zeus's father was still there, just that Kratos did not want to become that "monster" anymore, because he cared about Atreus. friv 2020
