God of War set a record as the fastest selling game in the series, debuting at the top of the weekly UK boxed chart. In its second week on sale, it's stayed put, fending off Far Cry 5 in second and Nintendo Labo, which debuts in third with its Variety Pack.
According to GamesIndustry.biz, God of War saw a sales dip of just 35%. Normally, games sell the most in their first week, and then sales fall off a cliff, so Sony will be happy with a comparably small week-on-week decrease. In contrast, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, which debuted at a healthy No.3 last week, plunged to No.39 after an 85% sales dip.
Elsewhere, Call of Duty: WWII rejoins the top 10, leaping from nineteenth to seventh thanks to some in-store price promotions.

It will be really interesting to follow if the sales will surpass Uncharted 4 and Horizon. Sony exclusives are among the best games of the industry, really glad that they are selling well.
I think I'm about 40-45 hour in to the game, advancing the story because the second optional "v" fight is really testing my strenght, I need to level up my kratos. Also the story start to pick up now, its getting serious with the new weapon.
Poor Yakuza. Didn't stand a chance.

Fallout 4?
Well deserved in my opinion. I finished the main Story over the weekend and enjoyed it every second of the way. With around 25+ hours played it’s the best 25 hours I have spent playing any game.

That’s a pretty small drop off. Word of mouth must be helping it a fair bit.

Its still a relatively 'new' release and all other games are older. Labo isn't really a 'game' as such but the only 'new' release. If games do 'drop' off after the first week, then God of War, being the 'newest' should still be number 1 - at least until the next 'big' release.
That being said, its one of, if not the best game of the year so far. I also think that it has much wider appeal than previous games too - as proved by the fact that its the 'biggest' opening week sales for the franchise. I think it could be the biggest PS exclusive of the year - maybe Spider-Man may beat it in sales but with games like LoU2, DS, GoT and probably Days Gone not arriving until 2019, its likely to be one of the best exclusive games this year. Detroit, I think will be more 'marmite' - loved or hated.
That's a very good hold for God of War. Only a 35% drop means its numbers look very healthy now.
Should be another 8mill+ exclusive for PS4.

one of the best games I have ever played!! might be the best when I finish it. not many games can grab you like this so it special.
GTAV kinda low on the top 10. It must never leave that list.

Glad to see God of War doing well. On the flip side, very sad to see Yakuza 6 drop to oblivion.
To be honest, it’d probably buy a game for $60 at launch or not at all. So the trend makes sense. Word of mouth is probably doing a lot. I think Yakuza 6 has it’s word of nought before launch as a part of a long standing series.

don't know what it's still doing there considering it's almost 5 years old and brings nothing new anymore.
now all we need is more SP only games on the top and we are good to go.
