fifa 18 world cup update free.jpg

As last week's leak suggested, FIFA 18 will be getting an official World Cup update next month. EA spills the beans in a new blog post, which reveals that the update will add new World Cup-flavoured modes while also revamping existing components.

So, what's in store? For starters, we're getting an official World Cup mode, which sees you select a team from the upcoming tournament and tasks you with winning it. On top of that, you'll be able to create your own custom World Cup tournament, allowing you to pick and choose the qualified teams.

Kick-Off mode is getting a World Cup wrapping, too, and, of course, Ultimate Team will receive a full World Cup overhaul. You'll be able to collect player cards from across the teams featured in this year's tournament.

The update arrives on the 29th May, and yes, it'll be a free download. Nice.
