Tera, the action MMO role-playing game that's been available on PC for quite some time, is entering its open beta phase on PlayStation 4 later this week. But how does a studio bring a title like Tera over to console with all of its functionality intact? That's what the game's latest trailer goes over.
Developer Bluehole appears to have spent a lot of time adapting Tera for console. For starters, it's had to reassign all of the controls and commands so that they work on a pad, while also adjusting certain aspects like the camera. Based on the aforementioned trailer, it's looking like Bluehole's done a good job.
Will you be giving Tera a try this week? Carve up the opposition in the comments section below.

I've liked the look of this for a while but as always with MMO's they have to keep me engaged and just as importantly not have a huge information dump in the first few hours. That was always Warframe's problem for me.
@adf86 Yeah I've had that problem as well. Trying to get into a new game when it's just dumping whole screens of text onto you is one of the most off putting things a game can do.
i played this back when it first came out so it will be nice to see what has changed since then
Read a little recently and watched a couple of videos, seems they have done a good job with the controls and the remapping of buttons and stuff and the UI in general but one thing I was wondering is does Tera have a party system like WoW for example where I can just party up and get quests done?...hopefully it won't be like ESO or Neverwinter where group play was almost secondary to soloing
I might if it's free. I'd pick it up for PC though if I like it.
ill check this out on the weekend for sure
I'm so looking forward to the beta. Downloaded the game a while back on my PC, after it was announced for PS4. I liked what I saw.
Tempted, as long as the solo PVR experience is fun...
