Sony is on course to having a pretty great 2018. At least, that's what we think. The PlayStation 4 is now well into its prime, and the Japanese giant has a bunch of exclusive titles lined up over the next several months. From where we're sitting, it's a good time to be part of the PlayStation Nation [are we really still writing that? - Ed.].
Before we get stuck into this, let's take a quick look at the biggest exclusives that Sony will be pushing as we move further into 2018. Please note we've only included games that either have a confirmed 2018 release date, or have had a vague '2018' release window attached.
- Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom (PS4 console exclusive) - 23rd March, 2018
- Yakuza 6 - 17th April, 2018
- God of War - 20th April, 2018
- Detroit: Become Human - 25th May, 2018
- Days Gone - TBC 2018
- Dreams - TBC 2018
- Spider-Man - TBC 2018
With that out of the way, it's time to ask you lot for your thoughts. Assuming all of these games launch in 2018, is this a good, or even great exclusive lineup for PS4? Which exclusive are you most looking forward to? Vote in our polls, and then feed us some delicious opinions in the comments section below.

I thought someone here said DaysGone was confirmed for June?
@DashingGold1 No confirmation on anything for Days Gone other than "2018".
I'm pretty happy with the lineup for 2018 so far. Really great games.
Also, I think Dreams will get delayed into 2019. Days Gone and Spiderman will still be released this year, but not Dreams.
I had a hard time picking which exclusive I was more excited for lol honestly it was all of them . I know at PSX they announced MediEvil Remaster for 2018 , not necessarily a 'huge' exclusive like the others but a little fun one we can play in between the big boys.
@get2sammyb
Ok thanks.
For me personally, Spider-Man and Shadow of the Colossus are the only two PS4 games I'm excited about this year.
I play older games I've missed or just didn't have time for quite a lot of the time. #thebacklogisreal
But, I'm a sucker for a good looking Spidey game. Most looking forward to Onrush if I'm honest.
Line up is fine for me. I usually only end up getting a couple of big releases per year on release anyway. My FOMO game is strong.
All killer no filler!
NnK2 is the only one I'm interested in. With that said, it's not a bad lineup of exclusives.
My wishlist from this selection alone is awesome: Ni no Kuni II , Yakuza 6, God of War , Days Gone , and Spider-Man.
Spider-Man is the big one for me among these. I really liked the previous 4-5 Spider-Man games I've played on console. So I'm excited to see what they can do with the PS4 hardware.
2018 is a 'good' line-up but can't say many games are of interest to me. Days Gone is the one I am most looking forward to - if of course that makes it out this year. I have not liked God of War in the past but the new one looks interesting - so much so I pre-ordered and also have Spider-Man pre-ordered too.
However those are the only exclusive games (unless Last of Us 2 or Ghost of Tsushima make it out before the end of the year) that I will be buying as it stands right now.
I think it's a really strong lineup. It's one of the few times I've looked forward to every game on the list.
It would seem we are such a pessimistic group here if even the poll has a delay question. The industry has trained us well.
Despite thinking that the line-up is looking really strong for Sony, and voting as such, there kinda should be an option for "none of the above" in the second poll.
I'm really happy for fans of the represented franchises, but I'm literally going to play none of these games.
To much games damn a lot of gloomy people here.
Awesome line-up. I'm really looking forward to God of War, Ni No Kuni and Spider-Man.
Cracking list of exclusives for this year (hopefully). I must admit, Detroit: Become Human is the one I'm looking forward to most.
Last year was a better line up than this year but god of war and spider man can change that once there release. But I don’t think it can’t beat horizon, nier, persona 5 and crash remaster
Sony coming with the 1-2 knock out punch... the only game I'm not really excited for is Days Gone... but I'll probably play it.
@Morenoj1220
Spider-Man, God of War, Spyro Remaster Boom
2018 is really strong year for ps4 exclusive lineup. I mean 2017 gravity rush 2, nioh, nier, persona 5 is strong but its only 1-3 milllion seller, not 6-up million seller (with the exception of horizon zd and maybe crash). But this year exclusives lineup has the potential to become 6-10 million seller. God of war, spiderman, day gone, and detroid has the potential to become huge seller.
I think its an incredibly strong line up, particularly as it doesnt include shadow of the collossus which is already out of course, and doesnt include other 3rd party console exclusives and psvr games and possible surprise releases later in the year.
Out of all of these i see days gone being most likely to slip, but it will be bad news if it does as that will bring it closer to the last of us part 2.
Isnt DQ 11 technically exclusive as the swutch version isnt ready yet, or is that my imagination?
O and spiderman is going to do megabucks for Sony i feel
They won't delay Days Gone.
2018 is looking great. My only real thought is how many more PS4 can it sell now after 4 years and the install base is already a decent size? I wonder if Sony will go all in on "Pro" improvements all year long to get people to upgrade. Maybe drop the price on Pro and give it a big marketing push for people to upgrade, or just continue selling Slim cheap and Pro in smaller numbers?
Well it's a great game year by any measure regardless of hardware sales, which should continue to be strong.
I didn't even realize Kingdom Hearts 3 was also coming out on Xbox 1.I'm guessing 95% of sales will be on PS4 anyway.
I picked Dreams as both my most anticipated and most likely to get delayed beyond 2018. Even they seem a bit unsure about PSVR incorporation.
So, Death Stranding and TLoU2 are both 2019 or later then? Or are they not exclusive either? I can see neither being "PS4 exclusive" if they both dual release w/ PS5 versions late next year. Then Sony can start promoting them as "PS" exclusive.
Guess I'm not really bothered about exclusivity as long as PS4 is getting a game. It's only when a console isn't getting a game like "Sunset Overdrive" which so should have been on PS3, or RotTR which had a stupid 1 year timed exclusivity license, that I even notice it. As long as PS4 gets a game on it's first release date, doesn't matter to me if it's also on Xbox, PC or Switch.
Disclaimer - I used to be a big Sony fanboy who cared about such things, but once FFXIII got announced for Xbox, (still can't believe it's getting KH3) and the world didn't end, I realized it didn't matter. It only matters when Sony doesn't get a game. I never expect Switch to get anything, always a nice surprise when it does.
I know Switch doesn't have much this year announced yet besides a couple of 2D paltformers and cardboard, anybody know what's up with Xbox for 2018? I traded mine X1 in for my Switch so just completely stopped following. Halo? Gears of War? Forza? I honestly have no idea besides the usual sports and FPS mutliplats.
I can't wait for Spiderman. That E3 gameplay sold it for me. I would buy it right away if it was available. Besides that I'm interested in all these games with the exception of God of War, as I'm not a fan of that franchise. And Detroit hasn't really convinced me, so I will see what reviews say.
Anyway, I think this console exclusive lineup is good.
For 2019 they'll have the last of us 2, ghost of thushima and death stranding. Maybe one more game, like bloodborne 2 hopefully, who knows.
@rjejr so far xbox has sea of thieves which is looking really good, state of decay 2, ashen, crackdown 3 and forza horizon 4 is given at this point. Besides that maybe, but only maybe Halo 6.
I wish Sony had something like forza horizon series. ever since I sold my Xbox one (I'm still sad about that) I miss forza horizon
@rjejr Ghost of Tsushima is early 2019 I think, followed by TLOU Part II. Not sure when Death Stranding is due. When did Kojima leave Konami? Late 2015? If he already had an idea of what the game was going to be about, I can see a 2019 release.
It seems like PlayStation exclusively has an actual lineup
Nintendo’s & Microsoft’s feels lowkey or too sparatic
WTF, people vote Days Gone for delay to 2019 : that crazy.. President Yoshida said Days Gone is in polishing stage right now. i expected it to release in June : hopefully
Days Gone is my number one for most anticipated games beside RDR 2, God of War, Spider-Man, Ni No Kuni 2
@Octane Here's where my over-thinking everything problem lies. I've believed for a year or two now PS5 announced early 2019 for holiday 2019 launch, like PS4. So at what point does Sony step in and say, "hey, TLoU2 guys, wanna slow down development on that and dual release as a PS5 title?" And I can see Death stranding as The Last Guardian all over again, PS4 simply can't handle it, it's all been a lie up to now. And Ghost, well they just announced that so making it a PS5 exclusive also wouldn't surprise me.
Now if PS5 doesn't get announced/launched until 2020, well then all 3 can release in 2019 on PS4 no problem. But then I worry what do they have left for PS5 after that besides H:ZD 2 and a myriad of ports a la the first 2 years of PS4?
But 2018 certainly looks good, and 2019 as well regardless of PS5, as long as they dual release, doesn't matter. At some point something will be PS5 only though, just not sure which one and when. (I've always been like this, always speculating about the future rather than living in the present.)
@NecuVise Thanks for the list. Sea of Thieves has always struck me as a PC game, so I did know about that one, but it was on my PC list of games, not Xbox. I have no idea what Ashen is but the others I do know of, at least previous games.
I only regret trading in my Xbox for Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Ori and the Blind Forest was awesome, which I'm hoping I'll get to play on PC.
I really want to know who was the troll that voted this a weak lineup xD
This is incredible for 1 console only! Not even Nintendo can compare in it's best years, like 2017...so how can someone think this is bad?
@DashingGold1 my hope is Days Gone release in June. Shawn Layden said Days Gone, Detroit and God of War release in first half of 2018
@AFCC lol PC/xbox fanboys probably voted that but won't write their comments
@NecuVise i heard Devs not doing Forza Horizon 4 for release it this year. they making new game
@AFCC meh I think it’d be better w TLOU 2... prob a Sly Cooper game...
@Derpie1 lol 2019 is best time for fans to play TLOU 2. i can wait for it but i wish it coming out this year.. Days Gone, Detroit, God of War and Spider-Man gonna be awesome games this year
@porhawj2016 I get that I think it’s more to maximize!
God Of War
Detroit Become Human
Days Gone
Spider-Man
Ni No Kuni II
Yakuza 6
No a terrible list really, hopefully Ghost Of Tsushima and Medievil Remastered are close as well love to see late 2018 release dates at E3
@GlynCR Ghost of Tsushima release in early 2019, TLOU 2 release in Spring like May
It looks amazing and I want all these games. Can't forget about the remake of Shadow of the Colossus.
Btw, I don't consider Ni no Kuni 2 as an exclusive, but that's fine.
@porhawj2016 they are recruiting a new team for that RPG game (Fable probably) so they still can make FH4.
This list doesn't even include the brilliant, already-released Shadow of the Colossus remake or MLB The Show 18. I think this year's lineup, if Spider-Man also hits shelves and all of them live up to their potential, could be better than last year's awesome lineup.
My most anticipated is actually God of War. It was Yakuza 6 and Spider-Man but the press tour Santa Monica took earlier this year convinced me its vision for the re-invention of GoW has a chance to respect the past while ushering in a great, new future. I don't love the idea of many of Sony's games taking the Naughty Dog approach even from studios not ND but I also can't deny that I love that style of gameplay and it seems like Santa Monica is going to do it right.
@DashingGold1 can’t forget nioh, gravity rush 2, yakuza 0, gran turismo and uncharted LL.
You’re forgetting bloodborne 2 nov 2018! 🙏
@PS_Nation tbf you can say the same for SFV but think of it this way if you’re a console only gamer... it’s a exclusive cus you can’t get it on Nintendo you can’t get it on Xbox it’s ONLY on PlayStation for the Console Only Gamer
@Derpie1 If it's coming for the pc nazi platform, it's not a true exclusive.
I'm really looking forward to Dreams, God of War, Detroit: Become Human, and Spider-Man. That's a helluva lineup in my opinion.
Who wants to be that one guy who says the lineup is trash this year?
@rjejr Either way, they're not going to launch the PS5 in late 2019 without no PS4 support for the rest of the year. That's where Ghost of Tsushima comes in, among others. Last year's E3 was a quiet one, I think to avoid backlash of announcing 2019 games during E3 2017. I believe it was Yoshida who commented on the fact that they waited with the announcement of Ghost of Tsushima, because they didn't want too much time between reveal and launch (see: Dreams for example). Early 2019 means about 14-16 months between reveal and launch, that's acceptable.
Anyway, assuming they do a dual launch for TLOU, they still need a couple of PS4 games to fill the gaps. If there's one thing they're good at, it's supporting their systems.
''But then I worry what do they have left for PS5 after that besides H:ZD 2'' That's the weird thing, they seem to be doing fine when it comes to releasing games, if they just continue that, and switch from PS4 to PS5 whenever it comes out, I don't see why this should be an issue. I'm not sure what happened during the PS4 launch to be honest...
Anyway, the PS4 is still doing well, I see no reason to end it this soon. I think it's going to be 2020 for the PS5.
Yakuza 6, and Spider Man are what I’m looking forward too.
Just started Yakuza, so working through the remakes, so I wont touch 6 for long time.
God of War is a winning formula. NnK2 looks like something special. Open World Spiderman rarely fails.
Days Gone, not a chance, Detroit for those who liked Heavy Rain, and not quite sure what to think of Dreams.
So literally half/half for me. I still stand by 2019 going to be PS4s best year!
I'm afraid Sony's exclusive first party games (almost all are single player anyway) will be affected by the jailbreak and piracy in the future. This is very bad for both Sony and gamer like us. If that becomes too worse, Sony might even push PS5 forward. Personally I wouldn't if the console requires always online or requiring to connect every week or month.
This is gonna be a really good year. I love Nintendo, but from what I've seen so far, the PS4 is gonna get quite a bit more usage this year than my Switch will.
Very good.thats a nonsense question.PlayStation got better first party exlusive than both Nintendo and Microsoft combines playa.and by the way god of war is playstation best franchises ever word up son
GoW the big one for me. Prob my fave series... gone back to play them all on PS Now b4 GoW is released in April. Still stuck on the FRICKIN' Trial of Archimedes.... Ascension is the only one ive not completed coz of this bloody section!!! New God of War looks like it could be the "Resi 4" of the series.
@Gamer83 always been GoW for me
@get2sammyb Dreams forgot all about that tbh
God of War,Spider Man and Detroit are the games I'm most excited for..in that order. The line up of exclusives is unbelievable to be honest and Xbox will never come close.
The sad thing is,what with all these brilliant games coming out and my huge backlog of other great games I have to accept the fact I won't have time to play everything.
And I reckon Dreams will get delayed again
Excellent year if games do deliver, which I think they will.
@Derpie1 can't argue with that! But saying this is weak is madness! There's a game for all tastes when you look into it
@AFCC things can always be improved.
@PS_Nation
So Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom aint a true exclusive then ? (Ps4/PC)
@KirbyTheVampire well they’ve felt lowkey anyway
I'd put Dragon Quest XI in that list too : p
Not gonna lie, God of War is preordered and I took a couple days off work for that week. I've had a rough few months and I'm ready to seal myself in a room and just get immersed.
I put Days Gone as being delayed beyond 2018 but i really hope that it isn't
Really strong line up. My most anticipated exclusive is GoW followed by Spider-Man.
I don't think Days Gone will be delayed. I think it will get one last big marketing push & possibly a demo at E3 with a release shortly after (July-Sept).
@RogerRoger Really?! None of these strike your fancy? I would have figured this list has something for everyone. Action-adventure combat heavy adrenaline fest, beautiful animated JRPG, story driven ethically challenging futuristic thriller, a few open world epics set in everything from post apocalyptic zombie lands to superhero fantasy universe to modern day Japan’s underground mafia .... and if nothing there sounds interesting, then there’s a game with limitless possibilities where you can literally create your own game world and make anything you want!
Are there some 2018 multiplatform games coming out that you’re looking forward to more?
If Ghost of TsuShima comes out this year I'll flip.
Hopefully Bends Days Gone will do well. It’s their first AAA release and expectations are high from what they have shown. Dreams is the one I most look forward to though. I suspect we will soon hear about sequels to Nier Automata and Nioh, fingers crossed fro Bloodborne 2 too.
I only care about one of the listed games.
Only really looking forward to Detroit / God of War.
It’s a great list, just not as great as 2017. Spider-Man is my most anticipated, which is something I never thought I’d here myself say. Followed by NNK2 and possibly GOW4. May get Y6 if I complete Y0.
Was the Last of Us Part 2 (only recently) confirmed to be a 2018 release by Sony? Surprised it's not on the list? 🤔
@Th3solution Excellent summary notwithstanding, unfortunately no, I'm not personally interested in any of these exclusives (although I'll say again, I think it's an incredibly strong line-up for Sony and I'm really excited for their year ahead and what it'll mean for PlayStation going forward).
Ni no Kuni II looks beautiful, but I've never played the first and I'm not really a JRPG player, or an RPG player in general (closest I've come is Mass Effect, which is essentially a third-person shooter with RPG elements tacked on and whenever it asked me if I wanted to craft anything, I dozed off). Yakuza is a franchise I've never gotten into, and I don't have the time to play five other games just to bring myself up-to-speed, although it's probably the one on the list I'd most enjoy, despite it being about gangs of criminals.
The mythology behind God of War doesn't hold any interest for me, and what snippets I've seen from the franchise tell me that it's far too violent and gratuitous for my tastes... and again, it's the, what, fourth game? Fifth? As for Detroit, I've never been able to engage with a David Cage game (despite trying really hard) although I'll keep an eye on reviews and never say never, as I like the idea of them, just not enough to take a £50 risk at launch.
Days Gone features the digital undead, so that's an instant no, and whilst Dreams does look gorgeous and adorable on the surface, it's an entirely new idea and so, naturally, I'm cautious. My last Media Molecule purchase, Tearaway, was lovely and all but after six hours I've never gone back to it. I'm therefore gonna wait for more information and some reviews before potentially making a purchase.
Finally, I'm a DC fan, so I know nothing about Spider-Man (save that he can do whatever a spider can and, if that's true, then he's capable of terrifying me to my very core and I'm REALLY not interested). It's annoying, as it does look like an amazing game and one I'd adore... just, y'know, if it was about Nightwing or something.
Are there any multi-platform games I'm looking forward to this year? Not really, no. I'm eagerly awaiting new news about Shadow of the Tomb Raider after that early tease, and that'll be an instant pre-order whatever it is, because yay for rooms full of old things. Otherwise, I was gonna use 2018 to catch up on a lot of my backlog (and I've promised a friend I'd make an attempt to get into Final Fantasy by playing XV at some point, too, after she played it and said that, despite my previously-outlined thoughts on RPGs, she thinks I'd really enjoy it... plus now it's cheap, so it's less of a risk). I don't mind quiet years, especially after the smorgasbord of incredible releases we had in 2017, which I'm still reeling from.
Sony nailed it for exclusives in 2017 (despite Mario & Zelda) and it's hard to argue that 2018 won't be the same, especially when compared to what MS & Nintendo currently have lined up/announced for this year so far. Although I'm hoping MS announce Fable 4 at E3 (single player preferably, rather than online MMO) and a not too distant release date.
God of War is the pick of the bunch for me, this newer take combining story driven adventure and Norse mythology definitely looks the business. Days Gone is also on my wish list also.
As for the rest, Ni No Kuni II looks great, but the kingdom building stuff has dampened my enthusiasm a bit as not a fan of this type of gameplay.
Spiderman & Yakuza 6 are not really for me, but think both will get rave reviews as both look superb. Not sure if some reviewers will give Detroit a fair shake when it releases though, but hopefully they judge the game on it's merits rather than whether they like David Cage or whatever.
As for Dreams, surely it HAS to be released this year !?
@RogerRoger Although I do honestly think the Sony exclusives this year look great, I was kind of baiting you in order to get one of your well thought out, insightful, and entertaining responses. 😉 I always enjoy your take on things and highly respect your opinion.
And I should have remembered your aversion to zombies and horror and if this spills over to include gratuitous violence in general, then I can see how that knocks several of these out of contention to be added to your collection. I didn’t realize this further included a disdain for spiders too, although that makes sense. Spidey is probably the one game on this list I am definitely getting day one and probably dropping whatever game I’m playing at the time for, so I’ll let you know if there are actual spider images, but outside of the initial spider that bites him, usually that’s about all you see of the creepy 8-legged arachnids in the Spider-Man universe. I’m not an expert in the lore (besides having seen all the recent movies and wearing Spiderman pajamas as a lad) but I’ve never seen him use his spidey sense to call a legion of spiders to assist him or anything like that. The series is actually quite lighthearted since Peter Parker is a good humored teenager with a penchant for justice.
And I’m with you on Dreams to an extent. I enjoyed Tearaway more than you did it sounds like but it did fall short of the high expectations. I’m cautiously optimistic with this one.
I’m also vying to try to squeeze in FFXV this year, but it’s becoming harder and harder to decide which of my backlog will get pushed back for it. But I do love the series and know I’ll enjoy it, but I’ve always liked JRPGs.
And finally, thanks for mentioning Shadow of the TR, which has been flying under the radar I think. On this site particularly there has been nearly no chatter about it, probably since there has been very little announced by Crystal Dynamics outside of those ....ahem, cryptic tweets (lol, yes, thanks folks, I’ll be here all week). But SotTR and RDR2 are the multiplats that I have on my day one list.
@Th3solution I've been set-up... and I'm flattered, thank you! Although my opinion is usually quite unique, so I wouldn't put too much stock in it. I tend to like terrible things; just because I can then write an essay about it afterwards doesn't make it more or less good to begin with!
I'm okay with violence; it's a necessary component of almost all the things I like, but there's a line in presenting and glorifying violence that I think everybody has, and mine is perhaps drawn a little further back from the edge than most. For example, speaking of Tomb Raider, I didn't play the 2013 reboot for the longest time because I felt like it had become a survival horror game. It was only after recommendations and a few gameplay videos that I decided to try it and, even then, I desperately avoided some of the more gruesome moments, even if I respected them as an essential part of the storyline (like, I refused to kill any animals beyond that first deer, because in terms of story, Lara would've died without doing so, but I don't need some random bow upgrade for slaughtering a dozen rabbits). I was much more comfortable with Rise of the Tomb Raider, which started to steer away from those elements, and I hope that the third game takes us further towards the tone and style of the originals and the Legend trilogy. If the rumours are true and it's taking Lara back to Egyptian temples, I'll be over the moon.
Spider-Man is one of those things I wished I liked Marvel for because, you're right, beyond the initial spider bite then I think I'd love the character. I've seen a couple of the films and enjoyed them in the moment, and the reason I mentioned Nightwing is because I get the sense that Peter Parker feels more like a "lone sidekick" than some of his older, more serious superhero colleagues. I appreciate the offer of the arachnid heads-up when you play; if it's relatively spider-free and the lore isn't too confusing for non-fans (imagine playing the Arkham games if you didn't know anything about Batman) then I could be tempted. I was certainly impressed with the demo of the helicopter (?) chase they showed. Very much my kind of gameplay.
Oh, don't get me wrong, Tearaway was a fantastically magical experience and I adored it... for the six hours it lasted. Every time I walk past my shelves, I see it and think "must play that again sometime" but the fact that I haven't speaks volumes. I'll want to love Dreams (I just wanna hug those polar bears something rotten) but, like you, I'm treading carefully until release and reviews.
I forgot about Red Dead 2, cheers for mentioning that, although I'm waiting to see how badly they skew it in favour of online multiplayer elements (and with any luck, I can complete it like I recently completed the first one, as a decent man who doesn't take the blood and guts too far). There's little point in paying full price at launch for something you're only gonna experience 50% of.
@RogerRoger I agree, and I think we’re on the same page for the most part (although I’ll admit I got the “Rotisserie” and “Bacon” trophies in RotTR 😆), here’s hoping for more of a return towards the archaeological emphasis in Shadow of the TR.
And yes, I get the feeling you would be fine to jump into Spider-Man with no prior knowledge or Marvel experience. Parker is more of a lone vigilante than say, Ironman or Captain America. His stories tends to be more localized to his own sphere rather than saving the world. However who knows... the game may be a complete sell out to the MCU and have tons of cameos from the Avengers in which case you’re likely not to enjoy it. We’ll rely on Sammy and Co. to give us a good review for those like you on the fence and who are unfamiliar with the lore.
The line up looks pretty good, but they could definitely have a lot more for it! Other than that, the system is selling greatly and it's not showing anyway of slowing down. MLB 18 is also an exclusive and was not on the list.
I'm still awaiting on some of their IP's, and it's not saying that we won't get something of them on the online store front or next year...E3 is coming sooner than we think. I'm still awaiting for a new Sly Cooper, Twisted Metal, Medieval, Loco Roco, Hot Shots tennis, Buzz, Ape Escape and another Ratchet And Clank. And ones that I wish they'd bring back...Tourist Trophy, ATV Offroad Fury, Jak And Daxter, Daxter, Playstation All Stars Battle Royale, Mod Nation Racers and a new Little Big Planet would be a nice touch too. However, I also thought bringing back possibly some of the Move games onto the VR would be a nice addition too...Carnival Island, Eye Pet, Sports Champions and Kung Fu Rider.
@Th3solution My general rule is "kill it if it's trying to kill me" and so I've never really agreed with previous criticism of Lara gunning down hostile animals, but crossing into survivalist deer hunting was a tad upsetting (I'm not a flag-waving kinda guy in the slightest; this is just about what I'm personally comfortable with, and I can objectively admit that hunting mechanics can make many wilderness-based games very immersive). I'd appreciated what they started to do in Legend, where she'd periodically make a comment on how unfortunate it was to be forced to defend herself against wild animals. A return to that tone and style would be great; after all, how many more times can Lara get stuck in the middle of nowhere, constantly on the edge of death, before it starts to make her character look somewhat stupid?
From what you say, here's hoping Spider-Man stays true to the character's roots, then. And yes, I fully trust Sammy & Co. to provide a fair, objective review... of anything that isn't a Sonic game.
Dreams is my one and only most anticipated PS4 exclusive game so far. Spider-Man and Kratos cannot top this for me!
Why the heck do people think Dreams will get delayed again? They're already working on the story, entirely made in the game, which means it would get released this year. Also the beta was originally took place in 2016 but then they delayed it to beyond. That game took about 5 years for them to finish it. This may sound like i'm nitpicking or did anything mean to you, but i'm not. Why so sceptical?
Well 27% of the voters where right DaysGone delayed till 2019.
