Fortnite: Battle Royale is out now on the PlayStation 4 – and you can play the PlayerUnkown’s Battlegrounds-inspired mode for free. The anticipated 100-person free-to-play multiplayer shooter has been made publicly available as part of patch v1.6.3 today, and you don’t even need a PlayStation Plus subscription to get involved. But how do you play Fortnite: Battle Royale on PS4? We can help.
How do you play Fortnite: Battle Royale on PS4?
Just search for ‘Fortnite: Battle Royale’ on the PlayStation Store, and download the free client to your PS4. The file weighs in at just shy of 14GB at the time of typing.
Once you’re done downloading, you’ll be free to play Fortnite: Battle Royale. The developer will eventually be selling cosmetics and other items inside the mode, but you won’t have to pay a penny to board the Battle Bus.

Will give this a try. PUBG always interested me but my PC isn't the greatest anymore so was waiting for a console release. This will tide my over if it's good.
Assemble thee squads, let's do
So I don't need fortnite to play this mode right?
@zimbogamer same here, PC is relevant as of 2014 and not paying for early access aka beta game.
So thank you fortnite.
