Far Cry 5 is looking pretty mad. The jury is still out on whether the game will deliver an interesting story, but what we do know about the fast-approaching sequel tells us we're in for a typically crazy experience.

Not long ago, Ubisoft revealed the season pass for Far Cry 5, which includes further adventures featuring zombies, aliens, and the Vietnam war. It's madcap, but not in a bad way. Far Cry seems to be flexible enough that it can adopt more or less any guise you can throw at it.

Far Cry Arcade, then, is a map editor, but Ubisoft has thrown in everything but the kitchen sink. Players will be able to play or create single player, co-op, or PvP levels using an enormous variety of assets, including a bunch from other Ubisoft games. In addition to Far Cry 5 items, you'll also be able to utilise objects from Far Cry 4, Far Cry Primal, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Watch Dogs, and more. This will only be expanded when the DLC releases, allowing you to build levels from parts found in each of the season pass add-ons.

You'll also be able to create playlists, play official creations, and engage in all-new modes. It sounds as though Ubisoft has grand plans for Far Cry Arcade, promising to support it post-release with creation contests, new content, and more. You can get the full lowdown via the official page, and we've embedded a trailer above.
