The giant Egyptian God bosses of Assassin's Creed Origins are pulling out all the stops tomorrow, as Ubisoft is promising a hard mode built to test the skills of veteran players. The Trails of the Gods have been recurring live events since just after the game released in October of last year, offering unique rewards to those who could best them.
Starting tomorrow (that's the 6th March at the time of writing), Anubis, Sobek, and Sekhmet will return. Every week, two of the Gods will be added to the game. Here's a quick rundown of the schedule from Ubisoft:
- March 6 – 13 → Anubis on Normal + Sekhmet on Hard
- March 13 – 20 → Sobek on Normal + Anubis on Hard
- March 20 – 27 → Sekhmet on Normal + Sobek on Hard
- March 27 – April 3 → Anubis on Normal + Sekhmet on Hard
We don't yet know what the hard mode adjustments will be, but here's hoping that there's enough challenge to keep experienced players on their toes. Once again, those who emerge victorious will nab some cool Anubis-themed loot, complete with new colour schemes and perks as proof of your deeds.
Are you still playing Origins? Will you be attempting to take down the Gods starting tomorrow? Stay out of red zones in the comments section below.

@NintendoFan4Lyf Yeah it's very action RPG now, complete with a proper skill-based combat system, skill trees, and loot.
@NintendoFan4Lyf There was a bit of it in AC Unity in the way that it was structured, but Origins takes it to a different level. I'd go as far to say that Origins is a pretty great action RPG overall, and I really like the combat.
Ok I need to grind today cause I didn't play any of the trials and I really want to! Think I can do it? I'm like level 25
That’s cool i like Easy better though 😊
