We learned about the new Horizon: Zero Dawn event quest a little while back, but the time has finally arrived, hunters. Starting at midnight GMT tomorrow, you'll be able to earn Aloy's outfit and weapon by taking down a giant Anjanath in the Ancient Forest.
One stipulation worth pointing out is you'll need to be Hunter Rank 11 to partake in the quest. You will have until 15th March, however, so there should be plenty of time to grind up to the right level.
Writing on the PlayStation Blog, Monster Hunter: World's producer Ryozo Tsujimoto has also confirmed that the event quests will be running on a rotating schedule. This means that if, for example, you missed the Palico gear event quest last month, you will be able to earn it at a later date. This should alleviate some concerns that you and your feline friend won't match when you head out on future hunts. Apparently, even male characters that apply the Aloy gear will change to look like Horizon's redhead protagonist, so fear not.

Nice one, will give it a go over the weekend. I know Elite Dangerous isn't as popular here but worth noting a huge update goes live this evening with loads of new content including co-op missions. Plenty to do between the two games.
It's good to know that event quests are being rotated thus meaning there's another chance to do any missed quests, but this limitation is still a pain.
I'm too far in the game for the Aloy armour to be useful, but it looks cool, so I'll try to get it.

kinda wish there was a choice for just the outfit and not a skin. I made a male character for a reason, but eh it's no big deal. I hope the weapon skin is separate though.

About hunter rank 9 so I need to juggle getting up to HR 11 and finally going back to finish off FFX after an inexplicable year's break just before the final attack on Sin.
Been waiting for this. How could you not have the best hunter in a game about hunting?

If its anything like the SFV Barroth it'll be much bigger and hard to get out of the way.
