Monster Hunter: World hasn't even been out for a week yet, and it's already sold a whopping five million copies. That's hardly surprising given how great it is, but it's still an impressive feat.
To celebrate, Capcom is showering early adopters with gifts that will give you a serious boost while out hunting monsters. But, as is usually the case with Monster Hunter, it's not clear at all how you're supposed to get it.
So we've figured it all out for you and put it all in one place. Read on to learn how to claim your 5 million celebration item pack.
How do I get the 5 million celebration item pack?
First off, login to the game then collect your login bonus. This is an essential first step in grabbing your item pack, so if you already logged in before today's update, you will have to wait until tomorrow unfortunately.
If you haven't logged in already, you can claim it today. To do so, head to your room and speak to your Palico Housekeeper. Bear in mind that this is a different kitty to the one that follows you on your adventures.
Once you've spoken to it, scroll down to 'Claim Add-On & Bonuses' to get your celebration item pack.
What's in the celebration item pack?
It's a rather lucrative collection of items actually. Here's the full list:
- 50 Mega Potions
- 20 Lifepowders
- 10 Demon Powders
- 10 Hardshell Powders
- 5 Steel Eggs
That will seriously boost your monster hunting capabilities. The first four items on the list provide restorative and buffing properties, while the steel eggs can be sold for a massive profit. Not bad at all, Capcom.
Can I claim it multiple times?
Sadly not! This is a once in a lifetime offer so make the most of those items.

Thanks Capcom! But why make it so complicated?
@octane It's Capcom lol they always make it complicated just like there Street Fighter games and its many revisions. But one question does this game has a **** load of different monsters etc I mean do they plan to add more .
@Nakatomi_Uk No idea, the first area has about a dozen of them I think. But I'm not sure if more come later in game. And there's an elder dragon in my Hunter's Note, not sure if he counts!
Probably to prevent abuse. That's usually why games feature a "claim add-on" feature.
How do you collect your login bonus by the way? There used to be a pop-up on the right part of the screen, and I had to press triangle, it's not there today...
I saw this mentioned in the game last night when I grabbed the log in bonus, but couldn't figure out how to get it then.
@Octane It's still the triangle button and pop up. Perhaps you already got the bonus last night. The login bonus doesn't reset at midnight due to timezones. For me, I can get a new login bonus at 7pm GMT each day.
@crimsontadpoles In that case I couldn't get the item pack.
It's not that complicated. Everyone should've spoken to their house cat by now - it's how you go into training mode, upgrade to a better room, claim-preorder bonuses, put pets in your room and maybe other stuff I'm forgetting now. You speak to him and click on "claim bonuses" or however it's worded.
@Octane I've not received the 5 million celebration gift either. Their Monster Hunter Twitter account says that they're rolling it out and to check back in the next few days if you've not received it yet. https://twitter.com/monsterhunter/status/958570573235458049
So hopefully we'll get it soon. I'll check with the palico housekeeper again tomorrow and hope it gives me the gift.
dooopeeee
Well I logged in and hit triangle to collect rewards but didn't speak to my housekeeper to receive them. Will they still be in my house next time I log in.
Also kudos to Capcom for clear instructions on how to redeem things -_-
Seriously though, what a satisfying game. Loving it.
Do the items in your item box cap at 999? Also, I haven't received my 5 million Celebration Item Pack, yet.
Yeah, I logged in and spoke to the cat and everything he has says it's already been claimed, but I don't have the items for this pack.
