Capcom's Working on a Fix for Monster Hunter: World Decoration Crash

Keep an eye on how many you have

If you've been grinding out high rank missions in Monster Hunter: World, then you've likely collected quite a few decorations. Decorations come in the form of gems or jewels that you can slot into your weapons or armour, adding extra skills to your set. They're relatively rare and really quite useful.

Anyway, some dedicated players have discovered that if you have over 200 decorations in your item box, this can cause the game to crash. Fortunately, Capcom Japan has posted on Twitter saying that it's aware of the issue and that it's working on a fix. We should hear more soon.

Just made High Rank last night, ready for The Proving! Hopefully the patch comes through before i get anymore gems.

I believe it only crashes if you use 200 'SLOTS' in your deco inventory. Tough to explain. You could have 256 thunder resist decos and be ok, but if you equip them on over 200 pieces of gear, that one deco type would take up 200+ 'slots' and crash the game since decos equipped in gear are in their own inventory 'slot'.

I would think I have over 200 decos total. I know I have a stack of like 25 meowster decos and probably 20+ crisis decos too. RNG hasn't been kind to me and my endeavors to get the non-elemental boost deco

@NathanUC 43 Kushala kills and I've only gotten 2 gems from it. I think my luck is worst than yours.lol

@WanderingBullet Honestly, I shouldn't complain. 3 attack decos in under 200 hours seems pretty lucky according to reddit. gems are 1-2% from carves or captures, so you'll pretty much have to rely on the gold rewards in investigations... there it's like 10-15% I believe?

@NathanUC Nice! I've only got one Attack Jewel and I don't recall which quest I got it from. Can you only get the Attack Jewel from Tempered Elder Dragons quests?

@WanderingBullet It's rarity 7, so the best way to farm it would be threat level 2 investigations. You could also get it from threat 1 or 3, but 2 would have the highest rates.
