The Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Fantasy Finals tournament isn't just a mouthful - it's also an official competition taking place in a couple of weeks time. On 17th January, Square Enix will be hosting the tournament alongside online retailer behemoth Amazon, where streamers will be duking it out for your viewing pleasure.
That's not all, however: if you pre-order the title, you'll be given a code to use on the tournament website, which allows you to pick a bracket and predict the outcome. There's a chance to win some cool prizes, including a snazzy arcade machine. There's plenty of time to register, as entries for the brackets close on 14th January. You'll receive a "Cloud Strife Nail Bat" in-game item for pre-ordering, too.
The tournament falls in between the Japanese release on the 11th and the Western release on the 30th, and should offer a great look at the brawler before you get your hands on it.

Well Amazon own Twitch so they'll be leveraging it. I'm a bit surprised that companies like them, Google or Apple haven't made a move into the console market.
@adf86 Amazon has a game studio, I believe. I think they purchased the developer of Killer Instinct, so they've dipped their toe into the gaming world.
I would watch it, but the HUD is too big to see what's going on.
@adf86 Interesting thought. I can’t imagine an Apple or Amazon console existing in a world where Microsoft’s console is trying to keep paces with Sony and Nintendo. Having 4 major consoles would probably strain the system, I think. But as gaming gets more and more popular, maybe there is enough dollars, pounds, euros, and yen to go around. 🤔
If only I was living in the States. Wouldn't mind having that arcade cabinet in my house.lol Any suggestions on which teams/players to vote for?
@Th3solution My thinking was, gone are the days of ambitious gaming companies trying to make a console, you have to be a billion dollar corporation in order to compete.
@adf86 Apple and Google dont think of things they buy companies and
ideas. They are also great at evading taxes here in Europe. I hope it never gets to this we dont need another EA or Activision that makes consoles its terrifying to think about it.
