‘Tis the season of goodwill, and Sony’s clearly in the giving mood. The platform holder’s currently sending out emails including a free festive theme, which you can download to your PlayStation 4 in order to add a little holiday cheer to your console. This appears to be a North American centric offer for now, but don’t rule out a similar rollout in Europe.
Speaking of which, we’ve seen some reports of PlayStation Network members in Europe receiving free codes for Horizon: Zero Dawn’s huge expansion pack, The Frozen Wilds. There doesn’t appear to be any rhyme or reason to this and we’ve been unable to corroborate with enough people to ensure that the offer is legit, but you may want to keep an eye on your inbox all the same.

I'm 90% sure the Horizon content is sent out for half of the Horizon fan base, it seems to be true. I've seen a lot of reports within the past hours.

Sometimes I have received some discount vouchers from overpriced digital games close to their release date. From 70 euros to 50 in Mass Effect Andromeda and Persona 5... I bought nothing.

Yeah I got a Christmas theme code. I don’t know if it’s the same for everyone but mine was a sweater with the same grey color as the original ps1 and dancing reindeer on it. It’s pretty cool.

The only time PlayStation has emailed me with a free code, it was earlier this year and it was a free Horizon theme to congratulate me on earning Aloy's platinum trophy...
...except I hadn't played Horizon yet. Hadn't even purchased it.

The lack of free seasonal or holiday themes from Sony on the PS4 is quite noticeable, poor form on a system that is so popular. Also in the store there should be a preview theme feature....it's 2017, 2007 wants it's theme store back.

Yesterday I received an email regarding That's You!
You can get up to three PlayLink games for free if you have enough / all trophies in That's You!
I'm still 7 trophies (+ plat) short, will try to get the six and five player trophies over the holidays.

Thing is, they can keep it. I've spent a ton of money on software with them this past year, and they thank me with a holiday theme? Thanks, but no. I'll keep my custom Decepticons theme, thank you!
