When we try to think up likely spin-offs to franchises, a bridge construction game for Portal isn't one that comes to mind. But here we have it: Bridge Constructor Portal is coming to the PlayStation 4 in early 2018.
The YouTube description states that: "Bridge Constructor Portal will blend the laws of structural engineering and technology straight from Aperture Laboratories into an exciting new game experience, all under the demanding gaze of GLaDOS."

I thought people quite liked Bridge Constructor? It's definitely a weird crossover, but Portal's been in all sorts of wacky places like Zen Pinball, too.
To be honest, I'd be up for playing this. It's not the most obvious marriage of games, but I think it will work surprisingly well.

oooooooh this is a cool crossover!!! I almost wanted to buy the original game on Switch but I'll now be waiting on the Portal one.
I mean, as a Portal fanboy, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't going to buy this. That being said, when rumours started cropping up about a Portal related announcement at The Game Awards, this is definitely not what I envisioned. I mean, I tried to temper my expectations. No Portal 3, obviously. But...I dunno. A remaster collection? A VR remaster, or even just experience? Something. Not... not this.
I'll probably buy it. I like Portal.
I thought it was only a pun on the tagline but it is related to Portal. Interesting.
And Valve, like Capcom so many years ago, has issues counting to 3.

Valve is such a weird company everyone wants Halflife 3 lets not make it. So many people want Portal nah wont make it so stupid /weird.

I just wish Valve would make some single player games again, but they don't make as much cash as F2P multiplayer, hosting Steam, or hardware accessories, so Valve doesn't care.
It will probably feature the cake joke, because that's soooo hilarious. /s
