Capcom's posted two videos that perhaps give us our best look at Monster Hunter: World yet. The mostly uncut footage covers a lot of the game -- exploration, combat, character creation -- so if you're yet to be convinced that the title's one to keep an eye on, be sure to give them a watch.
If you're thinking about putting some distance between you and your enemies when the title launches early next year, you may be especially interested in the fact that the videos feature a bow-wielding character. As with the other weapon types in the game, it looks like darn good fun.
How excited are you for Monster Hunter: World? Carefully sneak up on the beasts in the comments section below.

Surprise release this on the 24th of December - watch massive digital sales
Gonna be hunting monsters erryday from January 26th onwards.
Getting very excited now, the character creator looks ace and I love the look of the cat companions!
Any idea if you can create separate save files for different characters?
@WanderingBullet No word on that yet as far as I know. I would assume it's one save per character though.
@ShogunRok Yeah, I'm hoping they'll have that option.
I’ve never played any MH games. This might be my first. It looks really good graphically and the combat looks very polished, varied, and precise. Maybe similar to Horizon ZD combat wise, except the beasts are organic rather than mechanical? Hard to tell from just video blurbs.
@Th3solution the combat is pretty different from Horizon. Each weapon type has a moveset attached and learning them is similar to learning the moves of a character in a fighting game especially after the introduction of hunter arts.
Custom cat charactets=Buy lol.
I know this isnt open world (have to load different large areas) but how big is each area? And are those areas open world or are they more linear, sending you down a path to a "fight arena" sort of area where the battles happen?
Or once to load into an area its just a huge completely open (smaller) world? Forgive my wording im tired as all heck lol
@7yL3rB Okay, thanks. That sounds interesting. So there is no weapon changing on the fly?
Playing the beta/demo will earn you rewards that'll get carried over to retail game.
@Th3solution in the past games no. You have one single weapon but the weapon may have two different forms.
@7yL3rB I think you can run back to your camp mid fight to change your weapon this time around.
@WanderingBullet that would definitely be an interesting twist! Being able to change weapons based on which monster you ran into while exploring/which part you needed to break without having to leave the hunt and return to the village would be an awesome change!
