Just an FYI: Gran Turismo Sport’s demo is live now. The time limited test – which will expire at 8:00AM PT on 12th October – allows you to try out a variety of modes, including the educational single player campaign, the e-sports focused online multiplayer, and the highly customisable arcade mode. You’ll also be able to design some liveries and photograph a few cars in the Scapes feature.
The demo does weigh in at 43GB so it’s a huge download, but even if you don’t get around to racing any cars, it makes for the most amazing screensaver you can find on PS4 right now.

Really disappointed that they've disabled the PSVR feature for the demo
@WiteWulf I'm afraid they have.
I wanted it until I saw the space required. Make it easy for people to try your game please.
@NintendoFan4Lyf Not true. Everyone can download it now.
Tried to play this an hour ago. Stupid thing crashed three times in a row.
Also I'm not too keen with the required online connection for everything.
My kids are loving playing with the motion steeeing and then watching the replays of themselves crashing into everything afterwards. They find it hilarious. Losers.
The sole reason I bought my ps4 back in 2014 was for a decent gran turismo game.
I don't do much online gaming at all so don't have ps plus but I was really looking forward to enjoying the single player career mode, ie, earning your licences, starting off with a simple basic car, winning races to earn money and tune up the car and buy better cars as you go along. Then I discover this game doesn't have any of that and it's pretty much an online only game.
What a complete let down and a waste of time, I have zero interest in playing online so therefore see no point in buying this game, and that's something I never thought I'd see myself say about a "Gran Turismo" game
Time to buy an Xbox one X unfortunately
The demos great so far, it feels like a really fresh take on GT. Naysayers will say "No single player" but PD said all along that this was a different GT game.
I'll say one thing, the cars sound really really good on those gorgeous replays.
the servers were just down for a while..and you couldn't play anything. will this be the same for the final version?
btw is there no way to drive MT with clutch in this game? i thought this was "the real driving simulator"?!
I am not sure about it I dont like the turtorial videos are in letterbox mode and not full screen, not keen on the music its too laid back for my liking.
I am also not sure this was the right way to go with the game it feels like driveclub and i really disliked that game.
Safe to say I am not buying the game until ive read a lot of reviews as I feel it might be money wasted based on what I have seen so far
@Th3solution
Seems like a strong chance it could end up that way, unfortunately. Quite frankly unacceptable given how much time Polyphony had to work on the game. They did say it would be different but some of the decision making here is just poor if you ask me. The lack of a good single player campaign is a big problem.
Not keen on the demo, the game seems dated to me, it hasn't really moved forward for a good number of years. The only improvement I can take from the game is the sound which is long overdue an overhaul. I'm thinking I'll invest in Project Cars 2 over this.
Not bad.
Needs more loot crates.
If the new Gran Turismo is not a great game, after all this time developing it, the series will be in trouble. People are losing their patience with Polyphony.
It's very pretty! I am totally incapable but I tried to get better passing the driving lessons available in the game with a golf medal...Non enough to drive properly but I feel some improvements.
Tried demo and so far....Im not so much impressed as I was with gt5 prologue. I dont know why. Its gran turismo and also it isnt. I bought PS4 because of GT but now Im considering if buying GT is good idea. Definitely online is good, but Im missing some car collector spirit like in previous instances .
I like it... but how do I check when the servers will be back online?
I think its fabulous darlings.
I also bought the ps4 in 2014 for a proper GT game, and after trying the beta I am thinking buying an xbox one s with Forza....
The driving feels very arcadey. My beloved Alfa Romeo 4c handle exactly the same as all the other cars, single player is a joke and arcade won t let you race a cup....
Huge letdown for me. Between this and Battlefront 2 I am pretty pissed
@PS_Nation
As they should be. This used to be one of the premier PlayStation franchises and Sony and Polyphony are turning it into a 'Game as a service' joke.
@kyleforrester87 Loot car boxes
I tried the demo and cancelled my pre-order a couple of hours later. It left me with the impression that there are already better racers out there so what do I need this one for?
Graphics are phenomenal, but just a real lack of content. There is enough to do offline just not want I want to do, would have loved if they added a championship creator so we could knock up various different championships based on car class and mixed class. I am a bit of a hot lapper/ time trial enthusiast so I won't cancel my pre order as I will do loads of that plus a few online from time to time.
Playing on a PS4 Pro, 75 inch 4K HDR, using a Playseat and G29 wheel.
Handles great. Bit of a mess if you crash though.
It looks amazing, but has anyone else noticed the amount of awful assets that really stand out and break the visual immersion? You'll be driving around a stunning track then all of a sudden, you'll have a pile of trees that look like early PS3 assets. Very strange.
Single player? Wow. Forget about it. Got bored after the third test. Won't ever go back to that. Bring the single player back!!!!
The only reason I'll still buy it, is for the VR mode.
No single player, no sale, demo was very underwhelming...back to Dirt and Driveclub for me.
I'm digging it especially GT3 class cars. I too would like a single player mode but oh well. Not sure if I'm buying it day one but I'll probably get it eventually.
@Th3solution I wish. Dynamic weather, proper offline mode etc. GTS aka online bumper cars.
