Star Wars Battlefront 2's Beta Is Now Free for Everyone By the Way

I've tried it and so far for me even though I have good connection on everything else it's just been constant lag for the last 2 days I've tried it. Quite annoying was really looking forward to playing this...

Just the MP beta right ?
In that case i'll pass. Singleplayer only for me.
But I will play the 2004 original.

@KitsuneNight There is a little arcade single player thing where you can play as Darth Maul and you've got kill a load of clones in a certain amount of time or you can use a Super Battledroid and I think there's a team death match with the droids but yeah not much you can do on the single player side this beta.

Yeah i'm gonna skip then.
im not gonna download nearly 16 gig just for that.

Got the download file queued and I may be able to try it tomorrow. Renewed Plus just for this so I am excited.

Can you play splitscreen local co op in this beta?

I'll download it, try the MP, rage, turn it off and then delete it. Then I'll think how much I love Star Wars and download it again.

I'll be trying this as a few of my co workers are going to try it.Never bothered with the first as it had no single player but like the looks of this.
Does your progress carry over if you end up buying the game?

Always thought the original 2004 one , was the best.
but considering this new one has single player again, I might be tempted to pick it up.

Anyone else having trouble connecting to matches? I literally haven't played one. Maybe it's just my internet.

Same, I never buy games at full price anymore.
There is no point, the prices always tumble usually justa month later.

The Last game i bought at full price was Dirt 4 and before that it was Saints Row 2, almost a decade ago.

It’s battlefield one reskinned with Star Wars so that might please some people. I figured this would be the case from previous videos I watched but I was trying to keep positive. I liked the previous battlefront game better and will be passing on this unfortunately, but to those who love it enjoy!

'biggest ever beta'?. maybe in d/l size, but there's not that much content in it.. plus i thought it was garbage. the gameplay has gone backwards from the previous one, and the spectre of microtransactions looms large over it imo.
