Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet's got a new trailer, and it's probably our best look at the third-person shooter's story so far. As previously reported, you're not forced to take on the role of protagonist Kirito this time around, instead stepping into the shoes of your own custom hero. Kirito, meanwhile, is relegated to being a supporting cast member alongside the usual crew.
Speaking of which, this video also reveals three new original characters, so it's pretty clear that Bandai Namco's trying something a bit different with this one. About time? Score a headshot in the comments section below.

I actually really like the look of this.Never played a Sword Art game because I was told unless you watch the anime you wouldn't have a clue what was going on so never bothered.But I think I may try this one.
@Wazeddie22 What you were told is still kinda true. It helps to watch the anime first so you know who all of the characters are and their personalities etc.

I don't mind anime but the trouble is it never holds my attention for long.I think games like this and others based on shows shouldn't assume everyone's watched it.
@Wazeddie22 This game is almost a faithful adaptation of the third anime arc, Gun Gale Online. It'd be 100% if not for the original game stuff like the custom characters etc.
So you kinda do need to know what happened in the previous anime arcs at least (Sword Art Online and Alfheim Online)
